We’ve been to KSOB many times over the years, since coming to their first location, before they opened the Middleburg location, which was in Leesburg, and we really enjoyed that one. We’ve been to this location many times as well and it’s always packed and busy, so we’re glad they do reservations! We recently went as a party of 7 and sat upstairs. Service was excellent and attentive, even though they were so busy. The menu was slightly different from what I recall it used to be, as they didn’t have the sea bass entrée anymore, but they definitely had many amazing and appetizing options.
The items we chose, we all really enjoyed! Cocktails were very nicely done too.

Awesome place. You need reservation. Food is amazing, lots of seafood plates. Awesome cocktails. The weather wasn’t helping, lots of ice outside. It we managed to get street parking almost in front of of the restaurant. You won’t regret it. Amazing ambiance. It gets a very nice crowd

First visit but wasn’t initially impressed with the atmosphere at all! You walk into noise & chaos in a small overly-crowded dining area that has rather unpleasant bright, glaring lighting. We sat at one of their tall tables with bar stool seating – not a fan, found it very uncomfortable. I’m also not a fan of openly seeing the food prep areas. But everyone in our party enjoyed their food though, so that’s what matters most. We got their housemade potato chip dish as an appetizer and those were the best chips I’ve ever eaten! Our server was excellent, too, very pleasant and attentive even though the food delivery itself was slow because they were continually busy. A couple of us had the fish & chips. The cod was nicely breaded & flaky & came with some very tasty coleslaw which was the best part of the dish I thought. My favorite was the mile high ice cream for dessert. OMG, it was out of this world! If ever I go back, I may just stick with ordering appetizers and dessert! The place was busy all night so people obviously come for the good food, regardless of my first impression of the atmosphere.

King Oyster Bar is a true gem for seafood lovers. Their cocktails are excellent — balanced, creative, and a perfect match for their raw bar selections. The oysters are always fresh, and the Parmesan-crusted trout is my personal favorite: flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented.
That said, this is very much a seafood-focused restaurant. When we visited with some family members who are devoted meat eaters, they were less impressed, since the strengths here clearly lie in fish and shellfish. If you come for the seafood experience, though, King Oyster Bar delivers consistently high quality and is one of the best options in Middleburg.

Best Ahi Tuna salad I’ve had in a while. Fresh ingredients and a balance of sweet and salt. All dishes we ordered were excellent. Outside seating is very cute. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant in Middleburg! Their food and drink selections are nicely varied and the service was great. It is a small restaurant so make sure you reserve a table to prevent waiting but if you do wait, it’s worth it!

The food and atmosphere here were good. You can tell as this place gets really busy! We went for a quick bite at the bar one night and went for lunch the next day. No complaints with the food – it’s exactly what you’d expect. The salmon BLT was good for lunch! My only issue was the host staff. When we walked in they were super rude. I get they were busy but it felt like they could have been a little kinder and not just brushed us off. No issues with our server or the bartender. Both were great and very friendly!

I stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon while in town for an event. I was greeted immediately by a hostess. They were a little busy and it was just me so I sat at the upstairs bar. There was some outdoor seating along the building but it was closed at the time – it was a little chilly out that day so I’m guessing that’s why.
The bartender greeted me quickly and made me a very good cranberry mule mocktail. The bar area upstairs is small but it’s comfortable. I ordered the lobster roll and had brocolini instead of fries. It wasn’t the beat lobster roll I have ever had but it was good. The brocolini was good. My bar neighbors’ food all looked good as well. The bartender was obviously busy but still attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was casual and upbeat. Prices were comparable to other seafood restaurants I’ve been to. I think this is a VA based franchise and I didn’t realize that at first but after thinking about it I am pretty sure there is a location in Leesburg, VA as well. Overall good experience and I would come again if ever in the area.

Nice little oyster bar restaurant in the middle of Middleburg. This is a casual setting. The ceviche is good served with fried plantains. The chili was also pretty good. Portion is pretty small. Fried oyster is delicious here. The grilled salmon sandwich is good with a nice grilled flavor. Margarita was good. The cocktail hell and back is pretty good. It’s like a spicy margarita. Crab cake sandwich was pretty good. It was flavorful and fresh.
