The GHS Class of 1975 would like to Thank Max of King of Pizza for your generosity in helping make our 50th class reunion a great success!!!
We already knew how good your food and service were and we were honored to give your gift to our guests!!
First of all I’m beside myself. No seriously, I left my body, looked down at the pizza, and astral projected straight into rage.
I was born in New Jersey, which means three things: I know what real pizza tastes like, I can smell BS from three exits away, and I don’t hand out mercy to impostors in marinara.
This “pizza” wasn’t pizza. It was a crime scene in a box. I ordered a large pie and wings and was charged $42, which, for that price, I expected the wings to be delivered by a shirtless firefighter and the pizza to come with a Sinatra performance. But instead, I got a crust that tasted like it was made from the regrets of a dead baguette, and sauce that I can only describe as off-brand ketchup’s sadder cousin. I asked for extra sauce thank God they forgot it. I wouldn’t have survived the trauma of more of that tomato-flavored betrayal.
And the wings? They tasted like they were cooked in the microwave of a divorced dad named Carl who gave up halfway through.
Now, I don’t know who left all these 5-star reviews. Maybe employees. Maybe AI. Maybe hostages. But whoever it is, blink twice if you’re in danger.
Let me be clear: I will never order from here again. Not me, not my children, not my children’s children, and not even the cursed descendants that arise when AI finally takes over and finds this review in a dusty data archive. Nobody in my bloodline is ever ordering from this culinary hate crime again.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I’d give it a black hole. That’s how much joy this food vacuumed out of my life.
Now, if you’d like to rectify this situation (like, with an actual apology, refund, and maybe a real pizza from a place that respects dough), I’ll consider deleting this digital eulogy for my taste buds. But until then, congrats: you’ve officially ruined my Thursday and made me trust Yelp even less than I trust politicians.
Signed,
A heartbroken Jersey native with trust issues now
And if it actually had the ham and ricotta cheese I asked for, and Not just the mozzarella, it wouldn’t have tasted like Dominos mozzarella crust pizza, which I’ve never had, but can now imagine
