GOOD: Nearly everything – food, quality and quantity for the price, friendly service and very effective website to order ahead

BAD: Nothing really, it’s take out/ delivery with a table so no atmosphere ( no problem) and that I have to drive 1.5 hours from MD – worth it (I happened to be in DE, all good).

King Garden Wilmington is a noble and revered Chinese take out place going back to my lawschool days over 20 years ago – no lie. They make the same great food I used to get me through tough exams. Their plump fried dumplings are second to none and their cold sesame noodles are amazing. In the past I ordered the fried chicken combos and they were great.

The front desk lady is very sweet and grateful for your visit. Give King Garden a try. It’s one of the best Chinese takeout places in the Country (I’ve tried many!)

I just received horrible customer service over the phone. I ordered two combination meals and upgraded one of them with an egg drop soup. I did not receive one of the egg rolls that came with my order. I called up to tell them about the error, and the woman, who said she was the manager, told me that it didn’t come with an egg roll because I ordered an extra soup, and that if I wanted an egg roll, I should have called. A screenshot of my order and a picture of the menu that I have attached says otherwise. She argued with me and sighed in exasperation very loudly over the phone a couple of times.

I got steamed dumplings. Chicken and broccoli, and an egg roll. The dumplings were pretty good and the sauce they came with was decent. The egg roll was overcooked and mushy inside. The chicken and broccoli was super watery and the chicken was slimy.

I’ve only ever ordered the Fried Chicken Wings or Fried Dumplings cause I’m addicted. The wings are consistently great and the Dumplings are hearty for the hungry, not like those thin Potstickers. Limited seating, mainly takeout/delivery.

I really didn’t wanna write this because I wanted it to be good but the shrimp and broccoli is not good. How can you mess shrimp and broccoli up is simply the best Chinese dish but it’s not here ..The shrimp are not clean. They’re not jumbo and the sauce is thick n not mixed well n broccoli taste like dirt has no flavor. No gave c nothing.. ABSOLUTELY THEEE WORST Shrimp n Broccoli I ever tasted. And is OVERPRICED!!
But the chicken wings are pretty good!

We ordered Hunan Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein. Place is friendly enough…definitely a take out restaurants. However, the chicken in our dish was hard, tasteless and dry. It had obviously been around for days. I would have given one star had not the help had been so nice.

Once and done for us and we are new to the neighborhood so very disappointed.

Last night I ordered a Chicken Lo Mein, and it was a big disappointment. The dish had no flavor, even after adding soy sauce. It had no vegetables, and the pieces of chicken were so small you could count them. Very bad experience — I do not recommend it.

food was good. we ordered on chownow and do NOT recommend. ChowNow is charging extra on their website/app. the prices are higher and our delivery tip was taken too. in the end we paid over 10 dollars extra. and our delivery driver most likely didn’t get a tip. we called and they explained that it’s the website we ordered from. we checked and they were right. order on their website instead so you won’t be ripped off
