The lady at the counter was very nice. But the food was disgusting i ordered pork fire rice with boldly spear ribs. The rice is hard the boneless spare ribs don’t taste like spare ribs and he sauce is disgusting. The egg roll they gave me was so small.. and the crazy thing Is this is my first time ordering from them and my last.

Ordered takeout today the food was awful! They put my wonton soup in eggdrop soup it was all mixed it was atrocious. Rice is awful food tasted old it was just a waste of $80!

My daughter ordered me food through the Uber eats app. Worst food I’ve ever had from a Chinese restaurant. I ordered general tso’s chicken and didn’t even taste like chicken it had a bad smell like it was fried in bad oil and the rice smell bad also. We will never order from them again.

We were looking for a new spot to order sesame, orange chicken. My eleven-year-old loves sesame / orange chicken, but our normal spot has gotten too spicy for his taste buds.
Was looking for some spot in West Haven that delivers, so happy this place still delivered directly from the restaurant. FYI, our regular spot which is Panda House on elm does deliver as well and actually has very delicious food. We’ve been ordering from there for years and we still love their food.
Most other Chinese food spots in wh will tell you to order through ubereats or one of those delivery companies not realizing the hit you take not only for service and delivery being way more expensive, but also the food tend to have higher prices on the site, and you don’t get more for your money but way less.
King chef food is delicious, fried Chicken tasty not overcooked, the broccoli from chicken and broccoli was delicious and crispy, they’re fried rice and orange chicken were delicious as well. The only negative from me personally was the chicken and broccoli could have used more flavor on the chicken.
My family of six enjoys Chinese food sometimes, it’s in affordable takeout choice for large families. When you have to do delivery through delivery services, it takes away the affordability for normal families.
Also, King chef does have more expensive prices than most Chinese food restaurant so you will pay more for your food, but it comes to you looking like you went to a restaurant where you sit down in our waited on, so at least the food looks like the prices they have.

Excellent Chinese takeout in West Haven. Everything I’ve ordered has been tasty and fresh. Note… be careful asking for your dish to be made spicy. Many takeout restaurants when I ask for a dish to be made spicy, I’m disappointed, so I might order extra spicy. Ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles “spicy please” and it was really hot!

I regret very much ordering from here. Be warned, they do not serve pork fried rice and they don’t care. The woman answering the phone laughed at me when I told her this isn’t remotely close to what usual pork fried rice tastes like. They are bad and they don’t care. Save your money. Save your time. The food is 2/10 at best.

First off I called to place an order for delivery. The lady was fine with taking my order until I told her I was paying with a credit card, she gave me a huge sigh of annoyance, and when I gave the number, she repeated it wrong. Then when I asked for extra sauce on the side she sighed again. The attitude was just unnecessary!!! Will update post after food is received. Hopefully it’s good.
