The sushi was beautifully prepared — fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. Each piece was well-balanced, with high-quality fish that really stood out and rice seasoned just right. You could tell a lot of care went into every roll, making the whole experience feel refined without being pretentious.

The bun was just as impressive: soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The filling was rich and satisfying, and the textures worked perfectly together. It’s the kind of bite that feels comforting yet elevated. Sushi and bun together made for a seriously enjoyable meal — simple, thoughtful, and done really well

Food was kind of cold and bland, prawn laksa (although looks nice) is not worth the £13 in my opinion. Would prefer ramen pot from Wasabi across the road for half the price personally. Service was nice and fast

Generally speaking, restaurants in Cambridge are not cheap. This restaurant is relatively good value for money. It is not expensive, but it costs about 15 pounds per person. The food quality is average, so it is better than nothing.

One of the best places to eat in Cambridge. Portion sizes were perfect, pricing was reasonable and staff were really friendly – the same good quality also in delivery too. Will definitely be ordering/coming back many times 🙂

As a customer, here’s my honest perspective: I love your food, but the promise of ‘affordable’ created an expectation of value that wasn’t met when I saw the portion size relative to the price. This risks making a great meal feel like a poor value, which overshadows the quality. I suspect this is a communication issue. If your approach is about concentrated flavors and premium ingredients, celebrating that directly would make the pricing feel justified. Simply changing your core message from ‘affordable’ to ‘intentionally crafted’ or ‘premium Japanese dining’ would completely reset expectations, ensuring customers like me come in ready to appreciate the true experience you offer.

I ordered the Chicken Karage Don. It’s usually nice, but they forgot to add the sauce. It’s literally dry chicken and rice, something I could’ve made at home really. I would’ve gone back for a refund or something, but it’s closed.

That said, the counters are nice, the restaurant looks good, and it’s accessible.

Came here for a quick lunch after a walk around cambridge. Quick was an understatement. The pure efficiency of the system was great to see. The self-ordering was simple to understand, food came quickly and the tray returns was also straightforward. Therefore although the restaurant was crowded during peak times, people were moving in and out fast, so no issue in finding a table.

Food wise was great, flavours were there and the portions are big. However, I feel that a slight increase in generosity for the proteins that come with meals will greatly better the value. I had the katsu curry rice and the bowls are deceivingly deep, by the time I finished my chicken, there was half the bowl of rice and curry left.

Overall recommended. Way better than other Japanese food options nearby.

I wanted to like it here, but it was a huge let-down. It’s really nicely decorated inside and the ordering kiosks are very easy to use.

Unfortunately, those are the only good things. The food is not made-to-order; it’s literally pre-cooked and just sitting there on a warm counter for ages, and then given to customers when they place their order. As a result, you end up with food that tastes like leftover reheated food, with hardly any flavour.

The prices are reasonable, but I really didn’t enjoy the food at all. I gave the restaurant three opportunities, but was left unimpressed with the taste and quality each time.

It’s not for me.

I ordered a Laksa prawn udon in Lion yard shopping centre branch. The service is fast and fantastic. The taste is so good with a relatively low price.

Went here afew weeks ago.

The atmosphere was very nice and everything was clean. Service was nice, I was quite confused how the serving worked as it wasn’t the same as a normal restaurant however it was clearly explained to me and I figured it out.

(For everyone’s information you get a tray and pick up ur food and then go to your table)

I had the chicken curry udon, prawn udon and chicken bao. The food was made and given to us nearly immediately! The chicken curry udon was lovely and had a lot of flavour however the prawn one just wasn’t for me, didnt think it had much flavour . My little brother loved the chicken bao, I also had a Bite and thought it was nice too.

I’d definitely recommend the chicken curry udon !
