The Thai papaya salad was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The peanuts added great texture, and it is easily one of the best papaya salads I’ve had. Fresh, punchy, and addictive!
The grilled calamari had excellent texture with a nice char. It paired perfectly with the tangy dipping sauce and was simple, well executed, and full of flavor.
The battered chicken red curry was very satisfying. Crispy chicken generously bathed in a flavorful red curry sauce that was rich without being overwhelming.
The standout dish for me was the fried pork belly tom yum fried rice. It was absolutely amazing! Super flavorful, with pork belly that was both crispy and juicy. Every bite hit.
Even the Thai tea was done right. It was creamy and aromatic, but not overly sweet, which I really appreciated.
We waited about 15 minutes on a Monday at 5 PM. When we were seated, there were still eight groups waiting, so definitely come early. They only take reservations for groups of six or more, Monday through Thursday. Regardless, the food is absolutely worth the wait.
Prices are unbeatable for the quality you are getting. Exceptional food, authentic flavors, and clearly a Fremont favorite for a reason. I also loved their sister restaurant Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen. Highly recommended!
The papaya salad was super fresh and had the perfect kick. The pork on rice and braised pork were really tender and flavorful. And the butter chicken was creamy and delicious.
Forgot to mention the steak was off the chain!
The restaurant itself has a really cool vibe. The decorations make you feel like you’re actually in Thailand, and the people working there were really friendly, which made the whole experience even nicer.
Big portions, great food, and a fun environment. I’d totally go back!
I’ve been many times and I don’t particularly enjoy the atmosphere as it can be a bit loud and the service is just ok. Nothing to write home about.
The food is great, however. If you come during happy hour you can get really good deals on some of their most popular dishes like the boat noodles.
The Kra Prao has great flavor and you can make it very spicy if you’d like.
The hot pot is very large and you can get the Beef hot pot if you’d rather not eat tendons and tripe.
I’ve also had various curries, but I’ve always thought the serving size is too small.
Their mango sticky rice is only available when mangos are in season, but it is amazing.
* Chicken Wings & Sticky Rice 4/5 – The chicken skin was bit dry, but the meat was juicy and flavorful. The sticky rice was pretty plain.
* Fried Squid 4/5 – This dish reminded me of popcorn chicken, but with squid. Very crispy. A bit fishy.
* Banana Ice Cream 4.5/5 – Came with a sparkler which was cool. Coconut Ice cream was yummy, but it had a slightly sour aftertaste which threw me off. It may be the type of coconut they purchased. Fried banana was really good.
* Thai Tea 5/5 – Tasted great. Strong Thai tea and milk flavors that blended together nicely.
We started with the grilled beef tongue, which was incredibly tender with a perfect smoky char. It was seasoned beautifully and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality that made it a fantastic starter. The bread crumb shrimp cakes were another highlight—crispy on the outside, perfectly golden, and bursting with juicy shrimp inside. They were the kind of dish you could eat over and over again.
The Thai papaya salad was refreshing and zesty, with the perfect balance of spicy, sour, and slightly sweet flavors. It complemented our other dishes perfectly. For soup lovers, the Flaming Tom Yum Goong is a must-try. Served with a dramatic flame at the table, it’s aromatic, tangy, and deeply flavorful—an unforgettable experience both visually and taste-wise.
For our main courses, the crab fried rice was excellent—fragrant, generous with fresh crab, and perfectly cooked without being greasy. But the real standout was Uncle Odd’s flank red curry with wild betel leaves served with sticky rice. The curry was rich, earthy, and aromatic, with layers of flavor that paired beautifully with the sticky rice. It was comforting yet complex, and truly showcased the creativity and skill behind Kin Len’s menu.
The restaurant itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. This is a perfect spot for sharing dishes and exploring some of the more unique and authentic Thai flavors that you don’t often find elsewhere.
If you’re in Seattle and want to enjoy high-quality, flavorful Thai food with some adventurous options, Kin Len is absolutely worth a visit. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious—we can’t wait to go back and try more!
I’ve had the battered red curry chicken and that was a 5/5. I also had some pork belly dish which was still good 4/5. The dishes are on the pricier side, but definitely fair for the amount of food you get. When my GF and I go, we both get one entree each and always leave full with food to go.
I definitely plan on coming back and trying more dishes!
The lines get long so if you’re thinking about going, make sure to arrive early. There is also an incentive to do so with the happy hour menu available until 6PM.
2 in 1 pork rice: the pork knuckle is melt-in-your-mouth soft. I like the sweet flavor.
shrimp cake: this is the bounciest shrimp cake I’ve ever had.
grilled beef tongue is good.
They serve very fast. The only opportunity is the smell when I just enter the restaurant.
