Went on an Alabama road trip from Ohio with my friend and we stopped in this lovely place for some fried catfish and boy was it great! The sides were phenomenal and the staff was very friendly. Got surprised with some free cake as well! If you want some real Southern food and vibes, Kim’s is a great place to check out.

Kim’s catfish is delicious and the fried okra the best!! Great fried catfish filet (or whole), slaw and fries…plus homemade tartar. Service was prompt and friendly! Offering many very good sides and awesome hushpuppies! Ample portions. Varied menu typical of a good diner. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere, the place was dark and dank. Very old, a run down and not well kept. Ordered the seafood platter has it arrived? I’ve noticed my catfish, filet was not there. Ask for arrived later. Standard hush puppy servings is two I got one and a half and server did not check on me during meal. I wanted more tartar sauce. Cashier gave me five percent discount for my trouble.

Along with the catfish, we had popcorn, shrimp, Onion rings.

Today we celebrated my beautiful Grandmothers 90th birthday at Kim’s Parkside Catfish Restaurant. Everything from the minute we arrived was excellent! The staff, food, speed and quality was outstanding! They helped with a few birthday things without hesitation! And the most important thing was the smiles on their faces!! 5 stars all day long!!

I called for a pickup order, to begin with my order was wrong. I ordered the 2 piece catfish filet with a double order of onion rings. When I got home I had filet and a cool baked potato and 2 hushpuppies that were cold. I was very disappointed with the meal . Needless to say I won’t be ordering from there again!
