First time here. Brisket tacos were a real flavor explosion. Kimchi had just enough heat, and the fresh slaw was vibrant and cooling. The pork in the cholander fries was super juicy but needed more seasoning. Fries were really crispy, but they needed a hit of salt. Food came out fast.

I have been coming here for literal years and, every time I come back to the area from Southern NC, I have to stop and have a bite! Owner is the man and always provides great flavor and friendly service. Hoping to continue coming here for many years to come!

The truck was at the Paramus Food Truck Festival over the weekend.
Hubby’s cousin is a picky eater, but he loved the Brisket Sandwich. Which says a lot 🙂
I got the Corn Bread and Carolina Bowl. I loved the Carolina Bowl, meaty, and the slaw was delicious, and I’m not a slaw person. My order was to go, so I ate it later and it was delicious. I will have to try it freshly made in the brick and mortar location. The Corn Bread was too dry for my taste, I had to warm it up and smothered it with butter to eat it…
Will have to go to the brick and mortar location soon!

We decided to give this place a try and do not regret it! We got the bowl that had kimchi in it which added the extra flavor. We ordered mac and cheese for the little one. The sammie we ordered, the meat was soft and very delicious. There was a good amount of seats to dine in and plenty of parking in front. Definitely give it a try!

This place may be small but the flavors and quality are out of this world! Chef Rob and his team are putting out dynamite dishes packed with flavor and unusual combinations. Everything was topnotch and would 10000% order again we got the empanadas, Korean bbq ribs, pastrami, blue cheese burger, and the hotdogs. Everything was chef’s kiss delicious. So good we even took a bottle of sauce home with us. Can’t wait to visit again!

Good barbeque – we had the Austin Cho sandwich and Pork belly bao buns. Both items were delicious. The Mac & cheese was stellar and the cornbread was just right. We meant to try the Chonut but the menu says that is only available Fri & Sat.

Nice place to have dinner. The Texas brisket was really good and is a must try. The side of kimchi was fresh and tasted really good. We also tried the odb sandwich and Nashville bowl which was good but it was nothing different from regular sandwich and bowl. The brisket was the highlight. Overall a good experience

We got the BBQ sampler, Korean chicken, and our sides were corn bread, kimchi, and Mac and cheese. Overall, I was really impressed! The meat was cooked perfectly (though I would have loved a bit more flavor!) and I really liked their kimchi. The people working there were super nice, though the space itself is really tiny and feels kind of claustrophobic with boxes stacked everywhere. In some ways it felt like we were eating in a back storage room. Also the food was served in takeout containers- definitely not a place to have a comfortable dining in meal. It would have been nice to be able to have a beer with lunch as well, but they don’t serve alcohol.

Kimchi Smoke is not cheap, but their brisket and sausage is really good. Their fries are okay but I would not recommend the mac and cheese. The owner is a great guy, service was good, and parking there’s usually plenty. It’s metered parking but one quarter gets you an hour.

I have been looking forward to trying this for years now and glad I finally went. The pork belly bao buns and kimchi brisket tacos were very good. The nachos with fries, seasoning, kimchi, pulled pork and cheese were also very tasty. Cornbread was good but a little dry. I will be back.
This place is very casual and several components are self-serve with only a few employees and a handful of tables.
