I booked the Wine Cellar for a birthday celebration and it was great. Dominique was a pleasure to work with and easy to communicate through. Our expectations were met.
The room was cold, so make sure you bring adequate warm weather gear (haha). I think the temperature may have been between 69-72 degrees. If the door is open for more than 10 seconds, it kicks in hard.
The snapper was bland, but the crab on top was delish! The sauce on the snapper was bland as well.
The carrot cake was way too salty tasting to me. Others said it was slightly salty. It might have been my taste buds, but it certainly wasn’t sweet as cake usually is.
The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious! Those onion rings are as great as they look.
My mother had the bread pudding and she said it was heavenly. The syrup was light and natural tasting, not artificially flavored. The thin slices of apples and raisins contained in it brought out a well rounded flavor to the whole piece. The creme brulee cheesecake was also quite good. I took mine home and had it with a dollop of whip and some caramel sauce. Absolutely divine.
The 14 oz NY strip was delectable! I don’t care for steak in the least, but shared some that a friend ordered. He got it medium well for me and I was very impressed. I might even have to go back for my own one day. The brussel sprouts were good. The creamed spinach and creamed corn were hits around the table. Overall, we had a great experience. It was most of our first time going to Killen’s and we would all go back.
The room for all 16 of my party comfortably. The table was beautifully set. They had a Bluetooth speaker available for our own music which was nice because it didn’t disturb the rest of the restaurant, but provided us with talking topics and background music.
I will say that a few people had a problem with the GPS getting them directly to the restaurant. One of the guests stated that whatever link they clicked from the reservation took them to a different location on Broadway. Also, that typing in the address took them to a different place. Just know that when you’re looking at the maps, it should bring you to the building next to the Hampton Inn.

Killens is 10Times better than Perry’s, Steak 48 and Vick & Anthonys. Every part of the meal. Drom the service when you walk in the door until you leave. Truly impressed.

Reserved a table at 4 on a Friday night. Atmosphere was very nice and clean, we were sat in the main dining room floor. I did notice “dress code” isn’t enforced as multiple tables had people with baseball caps, house shorts and even flip flops and tank tops. Table of 8 sat next to us with this attire. Our duration of our dinner was about an hour and half, only 2 other tables were present in that time so the main room was empty which was great but not when they sit a table of 8 next to you inappropriately dressed. Like really?? Ruined the ambience…
The cocktails were strong but enjoyable, pork belly was amazing. Table bread was really good too. The sides and dessert outshined the main entrees. My wifes Red snapper with crab meat was overly salty, I tried it and confirmed. I ordered a medium 18 Oz wet aged ribeye,it was overcooked and bland. For the price we expected better but the carrot cake was phenomenal. At least we can say we tried this spot.

Service was great, waitress we had took good care of us. As for food, I got the 6oz A-5 Japanese wagyu ribeye and it was terrible all around, will never do that again. My wife got the “regular” ol ribeye and hers was pretty chewy and the flavor was pretty blah, out of everything we ordered the baked potato was the best for me. $400+ including tip and we won’t be making that mistake again

We are fairly new to the area & we are searching for a restaurant that delivers in food, service & atmosphere, Killens definitely delivered in this area.
I do wish the restaurant was a bit more updated in decor but everything else was incredible.
We found our “go to happy hour”.

Service and food was outstanding. Loved all the sides and the way the steak was prepared, along with the desert and the Killen’s Malbec. Only thing that ended up being a poor experience for us was the $200 48oz tomahawk we bought ended up having quite a bit of fat. I get that this is hard to control but we were splitting this with myself, my wife and my 12 year old and we definitely were not full by the time we finished. Otherwise, great experience! We’ll definitely be back but will most likely choose a steak where we know for sure how much meat we’re actually getting.

I came here with family and friends. The food is subpar. And our server was not the best. It looks nice in the pictures, however, I was disappointed with the quality personally. I also had a friend that worked here 3 years ago and she said she would not recommend the food here. Do with that what you will. I suggest State of Grace and I came here with family and friends. The restaurant was nice inside, but it was quite noisy. The prices were extremely high and the waiter tried to upsell us in most cases. My friend from overseas ordered a fillet and spinach, salad and au gratin potatoes. The spinach salad was tough and chewy and he only could eat half of it. The au gratin potatoes were extremely greasy swimming and grease actually and the steak was not well cooked. I ordered a New York strip that was over $70 grilled asparagus and a lettuce wedge. The asparagus were greasy and soggy and the steak was tough and overcooked. This was not a $70 steak or a $72 steak. It was a $25 steak. Then add the price of the wine which was ridiculously expensive for a very small poor and a noisy restaurant and the bill came out stratospherically expensive. I don’t mind spending a lot of money for dinner as long as the service and food and atmosphere fit the cost. This is my first trip to Killen steakhouse and it will be our last trip. The food was not terrible, but it was at best impressively average. I would much rather go to a other steakhouse if I’m gonna spend that kind of money, Weir I’m assured of higher quality food and better preparation.

Had Xmas party there last night. The staff was amazing. The drinks were good. Everthing we had tasted amazing except the steak It was very bland and had no flavor. The staff said it was wood fire grilled, but it tasted pan fried. No smoky grilled taste whatsoever. I know I shouldn’t complain since I didnt pay for it. It was a company function, but if that is the way their steaks normally taste, it was very underwhelming. Joe’s BBQ in Alvin has a better steak in my opinion.
