When I saw the menu pictures, I asked the staff why they all comes
with 2 halves of creamy eggs, because most places I’ve been to usually serve only one half egg. The staff said freshness is guaranteed by serving the whole egg, so no half egg ever sits there waiting for the next order.
As for the drinks, my son ordered matcha milk tea with cheese foam top and boba. It was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness.
They also offer a very special tea base that I have not seen anywhere else: kiku tea … which is the very fragrant chrysanthemum flower tea. It is very light and refreshing, I ordered it plain and hot, and poured it into my tumbler and sipped on it all night. It has a calming effect.
We also had the grilled eel, grilled mackerel and brussel sprouts, all delicious.
We will be back.
The staff here is always friendly even when they are understaffed.
My daughter and I ordered Tempura Udon Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice and Mango Pomelo Sago. The Shrimp Tempura came with a special house made mayo sauce and it was tasty. I especially like the udon soup. It’s just different than the soup from other ramen restaurants.
The Shrimp Fried Rice came with two skewers of Shrimps which were quite a lot. However, I particularly like the fried rice. Found out from the owner that their chef uses butter to fried the rice and the rice they use is Japanese rice. No wonder it’s so delicious and it smells so good! I was very satisfied with the flavor!
The Mango Pomelo Sago was dense with a lot of mango in it. The owner said that she uses 1 whole mango for each of this order. Even though this drink is $7, I think it worth the price as they put a whole mango in it. It’s a yummy drink!
Review from 1st time trying –
Excellent Japanese noodles! My first time trying the Steak Mazemen (soupless thick noodles with a large piece of steak) and it was special and very tasty! We also ordered the Tonkotsu Kuro and Shrimp Tempura
Udon and they were delicious too! A few of the drinks use real fruits (such as pineapple, mango and taro) and are relatively cheaper than a regular boba shop. Staff are attentive and friendly. We had a joyful evening with wonderful and tasty food in a warm atmosphere environment! Definitely will come back to this place again!
