We were cruising on our way to Florida and passed by this restaurant. Even though it was almost time to close we got amazing service “drive through”.
The food was really good. My favorite was the Taco. I wish I ordered it in other flavors too. The ramen was tasty and spicy.
I am so happy that I found this place.
Definitely will go back.

Overall enjoyable Asian fast food restaurant.

Ramen broth is creamy, and noodles are firm. Good portion of toppings. Meat is limited, but that is typical for ramen. If you’re looking for Atlanta quality top notch ramen, obviously it’s a step down, but still hits the spot when you’ve got that ramen craving.

Pork belly buns are good. The pork is delicious and fatty. The bun comes with a sweet mayo or white bbq sauce. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but can be requested to not be put on if desired. A good quality small $5 snack, in my opinion.

I didn’t think I’d like the sushi tacos, but they are actually pretty good! The nori shell are deep fried in a tempura coating, which makes the shell really crunchy and sturdy. I was afraid of having a flimsy shell. It held up well and takes a long while before it even starts to become soggy. I’ve seen the salmon sashimi freshly cut at kiku, so I’ve really enjoyed the fresh quality salmon topping. It’s soft and flavorful. The only “downside” is that it’s really messy to eat!

Seats and atmosphere is nice and comfortable. Would make for a good spot to hang with friends, especially at the semicircle booths. It doesn’t have any plugs or wifi, so it’s not the best place to sit down and do work. I have been able to connect to the McDonald’s wifi across the street when sitting at the side closest to McDonald’s.

UPDATE!!! Just came here again for the second time this week!!! We got Ramen, pork belly buns, and hibachi!! Updating everything to 5*** STARS!!

Wow! Just wow! This place will definitely surprise your! Don’t let the drive through throw you off. They have amazing food! The beef was so tender that I thought it was filet! Their sushi is done in seaweed taco! Very interesting and I wanted to like it, but the logistics of eating it made everything fall out… the ingredients were top shelf, but myself and the my wife had trouble not making a complete mess. I will honestly order more sushi tacos, but be warned you’ll need to eat these over something. Our appetizer was Takoyaki balls and that was very good and fresh! They have a great atmosphere and seating options! Very impressed!

I am so excited to share my experience about Kiku Asian Express here in Dothan, AL. Tonight was the first time my husband and I tried this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised about my whole experience. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I would be back again. It is so clean and inviting. The people here smile and are glad to have you. They were helpful in telling us about the different dishes they offer and I couldn’t wait to get mine.

I ordered the Tokyo Ramen Soup and my husband ordered the Tonkotsu Black Ramen Soup. Both of these were great. But I will say the Tokyo was the best. I couldn’t wait for the next bite.

We also ordered Sushi Tacos. Spicy Tuna, Crab Meat, and we also got to try the Salmon. I enjoyed all three and I loved it that the shells were crunchy. What more could you ask for sushi in a taco.

I will give my experience food, service, and atmosphere an A++. Thank you to the people at Kiku as I will tell all my fiends and family about you.

I feel like this place has 5-star potential, though it’s not quite there yet. With some improvements, it could be there! I actually discovered this restaurant through FB advertisement. I was looking for somewhere to eat dinner with the family and the photos on their advertisement passed inspection. So we made the 30-minute drive to check it out.

It’s not a full service restaurant, and you order at the counter or at a couple of the kiosks. I am just fine with that. We ordered a ramen combo, a poke bowl, a chicken teriyaki, and two boba drinks. The dining area is large and open. They also offer some board games that you can play while you wait for your food.

Pros:
1) Nice staff, some with a bit of a language barrier, but still nice.
2) The chicken teriyaki was pretty yum, very comparable to what you get at the mall fresh off of the grill (which we love).
3) The ramen was above average. The egg was served at close to the right temperature though not marinated. The pork was good, wish there were more, ha.
4) Everything appears to be made fresh, so food does come out hot for the most part.
5) Most importantly, the drinks were 5-star quality…and that says a lot. I drink a LOT of boba drinks and I have high standards for them. Their bobas were ON POINT! I would recommend it.

I can’t speak to the poke as I didn’t eat it, but I am sure my SO will be reviewing it.

Cons:
1) The ramen noodles texture was just a touch off.
2) The pork bao needs some work, also just a touch off and not served hot.
3) The spoon they offer is a spork….can someone tell me how one is supposed to drink the ramen soup with a spork? Finally, I just decided to be rude and drank from the bowl. May need to bring a soup spoon with me if I decide to go back, ha.
4) Pay attention when you order the poke bowl. Though the menu says “any toppings”, they do not mean any toppings. After a few toppings, they start charging you $1 for each! Nowhere does it say that on the menu. So your $14 bowl all of a sudden turns into a $20+ bowl with no warning.

Overall, the food was above average. For the location, I was fairly impressed and would recommend others close by to try it.

Had a fantastic time at Kiku. The ramen was amazing and the pork bun was heaven. I could eat 10 and not get tired of them. The milk tea was also light and not too sweet. The service was also great and the restaurant was spotless. Very clean. Would highly recommend. Love the new menu!

Kiku’s recently reopened and I decided to check it out with a friend. I opted for the beef teriyaki and a coffee bubble tea. The teriyaki was decent, hitting all the expected notes without being particularly memorable. The bubble tea was enjoyable but tasted similar to others I’ve tried. The service was friendly and the restaurant was spotless. My friend seemed to really enjoy his meal. Overall, Kiku’s is a solid option if you’re craving Asian cuisine and bubble tea.

I got the Tonkotsu Black Ramen and my husband got the Kiku chicken ramen both with the hot spicy level and they were delicious!! The combo came with a pork bao bun which was a little sweet for my liking/taste but it was still delicious. I also ordered the ahi tuna sushi taco and the shrimp tempura sushi taco both of which were deliciously flavorful and fresh! Definitely my new favorite ramen place.

Solid option for some good food. I definitely prefer it over Panda Express and most other Asian places in town when it comes to quick Asian food. Lots of great options like Panda, but they also have Poki bowls AND milk tea I mean, come on! It doesn’t get better than that. Its always been clean when I go in there, staff is pretty friendly and efficient, and the vibes just feel good!

The dining area is very modern, clean, and inviting.

Had the ramen, and there are a couple of issues, if you are looking for a true bowl. I had the tonkatsu; and it lacked the depth of flavour that it should have had and the noodles were a bit in the mushy side.

The pork bao was good, but average.

There isn’t anything bad to say, however, there is little to elevate the faire beyond a placeholder for wanting true Ramen.
