I wanted to give this place 5 star so bad because the flavours are on point, service is great and prices are extremely reasonable. But the soup was not hot enough and did not cook the meat all the way. The water used for the tea was also not hot. They use fresh and quality ingredients though. I would definitely come back.

Friendly for vegetarians, we ordered the spring rolls and noodle soup. I was really amazed by the portion size—it was huge! The flavor was authentic and delicious. Thank you for giving us a wonderful memory on the Sunshine Coast.

It has a nice cozy feeling with outside seating and indoor seating. Staff were younger but considerate. She was also knowledgeable about the dishes. The lemongrass chicken was delicious. The chilli was nicely distributed and the chicken was grilled well.
As for the noodle soup, the broth was watery. but the meat and noodles were good but just average. They didn’t have much defined taste.

If you’re in Sechelt and craving real, authentic Vietnamese food, Kien Giang Pho is the spot. This family-owned and run restaurant serves up amazing, legit flavors that remind me of home.

I had the pho and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, and all the classic ingredients fresh and complete. The serving size was huge too, definitely worth it. I also enjoyed their appetizers, which were just as tasty.

The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food you get. I was hoping to try their frog legs, but sadly they were sold out that day — just a good reason to come back next time!

The owners are friendly and you can feel the heart they put into their food and service. Highly recommend this hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast!

Hot and sour shrimp pho came with a bunch of celery—once I picked it all out, there wasn’t much food left in the bowl. As for the chicken wings, there was only one drumette in the order… a bit disappointing.

Went to this establishment a few months ago. The food was utterly horrible! Seemed like they had scraped it off of other people’s leftovers. Rice dry and other items gooey like ….well….snot. Also, we ordered the same thing but each plate that came was different. When we showed the elderly lady (owner?) that was there at the time, she was extremely nasty and rude to us. Will never……ever……go there again.

Edit: after having visited 5+ times now, it feels like home! The food is hot and fresh, and the Proprietress is adorable & doting!
My wife and I have made it officially our regular eats

The owner lives for pho almost literally! She is an absolute sweetheart.

Such delicious food honestly, I needed to write this whole review and demolish the food at the same time! Will take pictures next time, and probably another crakin’ review!

Great Sechelt gem! Sandy is amazingly kind and considerate. Food is excellent quality and flavour. Super Pho with lots of veggies and meat options (very nice broth). Nice wings and chicken dishes as well. Ask Sandy and she will try her best to make things the way you want!

Food is good solid Vietnamese option. Service is very slow due to lack of staff, so plan ahead and don’t be in a rush. Pho broth is quite good. Have previously tried their lamb curry and was impressed. Have been a few times and always had an enjoyable experience.

Super unfriendly to tourists! Definitely would went to other restaurants if we have optional choices! The flavour was super plain and all the meat phos barely have any meat or rice noodles inside, the chef put lots of vegetables instead. I ordered the sour and spicy chicken pho but there’s a shrimp shell inside?! And the waitress (who is also the boss lady) is being unpleasant, unprofessional and impatient all the time, she rushed me and my friends to order without any explanation to any of the dishes. Meanwhile, her recommendations were all off-topic and didn’t listen to any of customer’s requests or questions at all.
