We randomly came across this place online and made a special trip to check it out, and we’re so glad we did! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. The spring rolls were my personal favorite, crispy, fresh, and perfectly made. We also tried the Panang curry, Pad Thai with chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken, and every single dish was a hit.
I never would’ve expected to find such amazing cuisine in such a small town. It truly feels like a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

I had the pleasure to enjoy wonderful, freshly prepared Panage Curry and Spring Rolls at this homey, out-of-the way restaurant. The proprietors, Myron and Ning are welcoming and their restaurant is charming and clean and the menu is extensive. This is not a fast-food restaurant so we waited about 20 minutes while our food was freshly prepared. My companion had Cashew Chicken. We both thought the food was excellent! I highly recommend Khantong Thai restaurant.

This is a delightful restaurant to find in a small town. There are some stunning Western vistas when approaching from east or west on Highway 18. The menu has many selections and the food is cooked fresh and tasty. The owners, a couple, are wonderful to interact with.

OMG This has to be the absolute best authentic Thai food restaurant gem ever!!!! Me and my wife used to live closer and eat here all the time but even though it’s over 100 miles round trip just to eat at home we still are willing to drive here. Noodles vegetables shrimp beef chicken pork and those spices but every single dish wets the pallet and leaves you wanting more. We never gotten a single bad dish yet and I think we’ve tried half the menu. 2 things I recommend the Shrimp fried rice (they use big shrimp and it’s ridiculously tasty) and also don’t over do it on the spicy stuff, I bought a 3 and swore I was summoning something from inside me (I’m not exaggerating but even 1 or 2 has a kick like nothing else 5 might be what death taste like) and something tells me the food would still taste amazing Me and my family usually spend around 100$ here and eat for about 2 or 3 days on the tastiest leftovers ever!! We will keep coming here forever

We had never tried Thai food before but had heard this was good. The place is a small town restaurant and was very clean and smelled so good. The owners are wonderful and welcoming. I ordered the chicken with drunken noodles and it was so good. The spring rolls were excellent. My fiancé loved her food. If this is what Thai food tastes like, I’m hooked. Highly recommended.

We went there on a mission to find this place. Food was great im 1/2 Thailand. So the food was on point. Got to talking with the owner and forgot to leave a tip. Sorry, we will be back to eat and tip. Thanks for the food and conversation. Great stop for food.

Super nice owner/chef runs the place. Great food and service. Extremely lucky to have such a gem in this little town. Might seem pricey but you get what you pay for – and nothing like it for hours around; probably Rapid City.

Came in with my family after a long ride on the Mickelson trail. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and very accommodating.
They only take cash, so we were limited in what we could order based on our car cash stash because I rarely have cash on me anymore.
The food was amazing, especially the yellow fried rice and the spring rolls! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
Just make sure you bring plenty of cash with you because you will want to try everything on the menu!

I heard about Thai food in Edgemont and decided that I must try it out.
Asian food is one of my favorites and this food is SPOT ON!
I ordered a beef w/green cury.
The food is very well prepared with balanced flavors, nice sized bites of tenderness.
Nothing was overcooked. The peas were plump and the potatoes were tender.
The dining area was well kept and very nice. (Although I placed my order to-go).
I asked about sticky rice (Im a big fan) and was told that they can do a special order with a days advanced notice.
UPDATE…..( a month after my 1st visit)
I went with the green curry again today, but this time it had pineapple.
So it was even better than the one I had last time. I noticed the rice was cooked absolutely perfectly. I poured some of the broth onto the rice and was happy just eating this. Of course adding the meat and veggies doubled my delight.
I also had an order of spring rolls.
Was not expecting them to be fried, but they were. Again, perfecly prepared….Best spring rolls I have ever had.
I wish I was in town more often.
This chick can COOK!!
The food she makes is worth spending a few dollars more for.
It is beyond the typical burger and fries.
