We are so excited and delighted by the opening of Petra Pizza!! We ordered the falafel pita pocket, chicken shawarma, and a side of hummus and falafel. Love that it has some great vegan options. The people working there were so kind, the building was so clean and current looking, and the food was of course tremendous. How fun to have a great new spot – looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!!

Petra Pizza is a great addition to our neighborhood! The owner is one of the nicest people and so friendly. We ordered the supreme pizza and falafel pita pocket and loved both of them. The baba ganoush and hummus with homemade pita is also one of my favorites! This place is so clean and the owner really takes pride in the quality of his food. Amazing food! Tried the gyro pizza, chicken shawarma sandwich, pepperoni pizza, falafel, mozzarella sticks and chicken strips. Everything was delicious, service was friendly and quick and the menu is diverse enough to please everyone in the family. Atmosphere is maybe a work in progress since it’s so new and took over the prior pizzeria known formaller as Nunzeos. Staff was so friendly and personable when I came in to pick up.
I live near by and gave it a shot on a Friday night for carry out dinner. Called in the order, it was ready in 25 minutes.
We ordered a Cheese pizza and.a Chicken Shawarma pizza and then Hummus with Pita and Falafel.
I will for sure be going back! Pizza was good. Slightly thinner crust that was a little floppy when fresh hot to hold unless you curl it a bit to prevent flopping. It was tasty and the crust was flavorful. I think it was notes of garlic but not just a garlic powder, maybe flakes baked in? It wasn’t too strong but just right to elevate the flavor!
I don’t eat meat but my wife said the chicken shawarma pizza was great in flavor, well melted cheese and a unique pizza toping offering!
The hummus is certainly homemade and better than any store bought hummus. The pita they say they make in house and I believe it. You get one pita circle but it’s not a thin basic one. It’s thicker and soft and baked to perfection. So nice to have such a good option! I normally prefer a fresh middle eastern bakery thinner pita but this was excellent to pair with their hummus. Topped with a few chick peas and what I imagine was paprika or perhaps a little sumac sprinkled on top. It was a good hummus that is on par and or rivaling some other middle eastern restaurants in the area!
Now onto the falafel bites. These are semi spherical bites of perfection! Like a thicker larger coin shape versus a ball form, they are brown and crisp on the outside with a touch of a char flavoring and yet fried or cooked perfectly on the inside. Not dry and a choking hazard like some I’ve had and good in flavor and holding shape easy enough to split in half with your fingers and have it not crumble. Also not greasy to the touch. And excellent option and comes with a garnish of tomato slices and a few cucumber slices and lettuce and dip.
All in all I’m happy this is a unique mix of foods in our neighborhood. I would love to try one of their sandwiches or other pizza genre mashups they have on menu.
I didn’t see online ordering but if they do well this would be a great plus if it’s not already there. Hoping the rest of the community can give them a try and find new flavors or old classics they can enjoy from this local spot!

This place is so good. My husband and I got the chicken shwarma pizza, falafel patties, and baklava. It was beyond our expectations. We will definitely be coming back. The man behind the counter was so kind, not to mention how clean the place is!
