Needs desperate improvement. Customer service was horrible to say the least… I felt bad even recommending getting KFC for dinner after my experience, let alone choosing this specific location in Santee. The cashier seemed very annoyed and bothered by my order, which wasn’t a lot. Just some basic requests to change out some of the food items included in my chosen combo meal. I asked a simple question about changing out one of the side dishes; I was cut off mid sentence and was completely ignored as if I never asked my question. My partner felt bad for the cashier, since they were older, but to me, they were very much passive aggressive with us. They had our whole combo meal done in less than a minute and it was all sorts of messed up. Me and my partner were thinking of eating on site, but quickly changed our minds after completely being ignored when we weren’t given plates, napkins, forks, or even our requested sauces. They just looked at us in annoyance when we came back to try and ask for those items and ignored us even when their was no customers in line or making an order… I had a strong feeling they’d just blow up on us if we asked for even one of those things, so we just left. But, I thank them for our “customer experience” though, I’ll know NEVER to come or support this location ever again!

Came the evening of 12/03/25 and was instantly given attitude while placing order respectfully. Lady at the window was super rude cutting us off as we asked a simple question. Received 2 hot sauce packets for the amount of food we ordered. Both famous bowls were basically mashed potatoes with literally 3 pieces of chicken. Subpar food and horrible service. Take your money elsewhere where workers actually enjoy their lives.

This is what I was served tonight to feed my kids. I know I will never be coming back here as a long time Santee resident. It’s horrible service when the workers do this type of stuff and didn’t even get what I paid for. They cut up a piece of chicken for their sandwiches as my tender meal my kids won’t touch this and the tenders I did get been sitting there all day and the Mac and cheese. Just look at it… just close the doors

I ordered the famous bowl and received a cookie with it as an extra! I didn’t expect that but I am happy about that. The service was great, the food portion was exactly what i expected and the kitchen looked clean. The food was prepared just like the advertisement. I’d recommend this location over others.

Went through the drive thru an got home, found my famous bowl barely has mash potatoes an only 9 nuggets! My sons popcorn chicken was put in the small mash potato bowl when it was normally in a box They will skimp your food here definitely not worth it!

Went to the KFC on Cuyamaca in Santee/La Mesa after fishing at Santee Lakes. I ordered the 20% off the 6 piece Taste of KFC, extra crispy, using their app, and picked it up at the drive-thru. It was on $17 (what a deal). The food was ready when we got to the window. We asked the girl for some ketchup, KFC sauce, and honey mustard. She left and was gone for quite a long time trying to find the sauces. When she came back, she was out of breath and all frazzled. “Did you give us napkins?” She looked in the bag, and there were no napkins. She went to get them and then handed me like 5 napkins. I’m like, “we’re going to need a lot more than 5 napkins. She left again and came back with maybe 5 more crumpled napkins. The french fries were cold, the biscuits were cold and hard, and the chicken was super greasy compared to other KFCs that I’ve been to. I would go to another KFC if you are able to because this one was a bit below average.
