What is missing from fast food service today?
The answer is in the question. SERVICE.
Today, fast food service at its best seems like I unwittingly walked into a lame millenial house party minus the trap music but I digress.At its worst, it has not only become a disservice but an insult to anyone who remembers fast food before the gen X’rs came onto the scene.
Gone are the days of honest mistakes. It has progressed to full on negligence. It is clear courtesy, respect and common sense have left the building, along with my business (pun intended). What an insult to allow high school children who can not even spell “competent” try and fail miserably at customer service.
What’s an even worse idea is leaving the kiddies alone without an adult manager to put them in time out and tell them “No, No!” when the idiocy finally becomes unbearable.
Pathetic is not even a fitting sentiment and my experience at KFC today is no exception. Besides messing up our order not once but twice, causing us to have to turn around and go back to pick up the biscuits he forgot. We also received little chicken wings and little drum sticks in place of the THIGHS AND LEGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO COME WITH THE MEAL. Thats right, little wings and drum sticks I guess are now a substitution for thighs and legs. Now that’s what ya call progress!
Todays “service” if you can call it that, is an assembly line of mediocrity. A word to the owner and staff. Customer service is just that, a SERVICE. I pay to be served. Not just so the kiddies can get a minumum wage pay check at the only job they will be hired at for the time being. It is to provide me and any one for that matter with what we asked for and in a decent, dignified and timely manner.
Please consider changing your staff as you have just lost a customer and a long time fan. KFC is not what it used to be and I’m talking just five years ago.

It’s late, I’m starving and it’s the hottest day in san diego county. So I decided to stop at kfc in rancho san diego. I feel stupid using coupons for food these days but everything is so expensive. The service I received from cashier Ale and Brinay was so heart felt! She made me feel like the coupons were not as humiliating as I felt using. She was absolutely amazing. I ended up buying more food than I needed but in reality I felt more confidence spenind on food with such great service. I will definately return especially to this location just because of human instant and kindness. What a relief it is to see some people still care to just listen. Absolutely amazing, and I don’t usually write reviews.

I order 2 chicken Littles no mayo and I was given with aton of mayo. I returned and show them they remade it and still had alot of mayo. No mayo means no mayo not alot of mayo or a little mayo. So today at about 1:45-2:00pm, I went to this location to pick up 2 eight piece hot wings originally went through the drive through. The young man that took my order advised it would be 7 minutes and to park up front, time got to 10-12 minutes, so I walked in instead. When I got inside, the young man that took my order and 2 other female employees were standing around talking and drinking from their KFC cups and another gentleman looked like he was messing with the grease traps. As time went past now we’re at the 20 min mark, I was patient. The young man walked up to me and asked if I wanted to put the wings in one or two containers, I advised I needed two because it’s for 2 different ppl I was like yes! Bout to box up my order and go home…he leaves the front and goes back to the convo with his co workers now were around 25 minutes. I think one of the other employees noticed I was getting agitated because I’m watching them have their convo but my order still isn’t ready…..the young lady that saw my demeanor went directly to where the wings were and boxed up my order. I stood there and thought to myself, if the wings were ready, why didn’t they just hand me my order. Usually I don’t complain but this was ridiculous

Nice and quick drive thru service with friendly service. I like their chicken but does tend to be a tad salty. Second time in a week and last time got sides; my favorites were the biscuits, green beans and corn not in the cob—I did not particularly like the mashed potatoes that were too runny but the gravy was nice.
