Was told the fryers were being cleaned during dinner time. Said we would have to wait out front for the food. We expected since we had to wait for the fryer that the food would be fresh! NOPE the potato wedges were cold and tough and couldn’t even bite through them. Went inside to get fresh ones and then waited outside for another 10 minutes. 35 minutes total. Who cleans the fryers during dinner time. The teenager at the drive through was zero help and we witnessed employee popping food in their mouth as they were making someone’s food.

I ordered a $20 meal at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Gardnerville, NV on 9/20 at 4:08PM. I requested a pickup time of 4:30PM. I had an appointment at 4:35PM. When I arrived at 4:29PM, the counter person told me it was going to be 13 more minutes. I told him I could not wait and asked for a refund. He told me I had to go back online to do it. The counter person told me his name was Issac though he was wearing some other name badge. Issac was very snarky and condescending. I asked to speak to the manager. Mgr. Melissa came to the counter and told me they could not do a refund, and I had to go online. I told her this was not right as they inconvenienced me by not having the order ready (they had 22 minutes notice) and now I have to go online and spend more time to get my money back? She laughed ye… laughed! and said yes you do.
I left without the order as I could not wait, went to my appointment, and got home at 5:15PM. I immediately went online to request a refund and the webpage said to call them. I called, and talked to two different online people at KFC. They both took the exact same information from me (name, order # phone email etc.), and after 19 minutes on the phone with them, the second KFC phone person-Marie, told me “You are too late to cancel the order and we can not do a refund.”
This would almost be laughable if not unbelievable.
Order not ready…

Wow. I’ve been on this planet a lot of years, and have had a few customer service experiences in my lifetime. This…at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Gardnerville, NV and online with KFC “customer service,” was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Shame on you KFC.

I admit it has been a while since I’ve been to a KFC, and I am pleasantly surprised to find the quality of fare at KFC has improved. My memory from the past was stale and overdone, much like the cooking back then, but on my most recent visit, I discovered the meal freshly fried, crispy but not hard, toothsome and juicy!

I’d hate to admit it, but I rather enjoyed the food experience. Also, the dining area was as clean as Col. Sanders would have demanded. Did you know that Mr. Harland Sanders was nearly Senator Sanders?

The only thing holding this review back from more stars was the wait, and the price. If the price was worth the wait, then it wouldn’t matter.

The food is as to be be expected for a normal KFC menu. The service is slow in the drive-thru but the server made up for it by giving us some dessert bites.

Rude as hell, they don’t go by what online, no that’s different than what they offer in store. The lady working there 8-27-25 at 9:15pm needs to be fired. Also, y’all losing my money because you can’t get ur sheet together.

We came here 5 minutes before closing but the staff was amazingly kind! They did not turn us away and even gave us 10% discount because the tenders we ordered needed a few minutes to be ready! When we finally got our order, they gave us free cookies and made sure everything was all good! Great service!!!!

I was very impressed with this KFC. It’s very clean, the service was great, and the food was KFC delicious!
The thing that really got me was the presentation of the food on the tray. It was nicely laid out on a faux wooden tray. Instead of just having the food thrown on the tray, it was nicely laid out with the flatware and napkins. It was a very nice touch.
