Well… its KFC. Having grown up in the 50s when the chicken was hot, juicy, flavorful, and not greasy, its hard to be happy with the product today. Every so often, as in years, I’m tempted to once again try the original recipe chicken… usually with varying degrees of disappointment. The chicken was juicy in a very greasy way. Flavor of the 23? Herbs and spices was greatly muted. And naturally today, the pieces are noticeably smaller. Service was good, store was clean except to the windows… kids fingerprints and smears all over the glass. It was easy to see why this rather large dining area had only 3 tables occupied and only 4 carryout orders during the noon lunch hour. Drive through was not doing too well either. There’s a message there. Not in my top ten places for chicken, even if I only had 4 places. It is what it is, and to each their own.

Manager was friendly. Only 2 people at peak lunch hours. We ordered 12 piece meal with a large drink and cheese curds on the side. Comes with 3 sides and a box of biscuits. We got coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The cheese curds and gravy were the only things edible with flavor. We asked for all dark meat extra crispy. We got 11 pieces of the 12. most were beasts which none of us like. No flavor. Mac and cheese was the worst I have ever had in my life. Watery and flavorless except for the aftertaste of chemicals. Powdered mash potatoes. The biscuits were hard and dry and no flavor. The coleslaw tasted like turpentine. It was $55 for a bag of complete trash! Go to Popeyes down the street. Heck go to Walmart! Same stuff half the price and it will taste better.

We ordered tender, and the manager, who doesn’t listen very well, charged us for chicken. When we told her we ordered tender, she was very rude and said she couldn’t change the chicken for tender. We asked her to give us our money back, but she refused. They are very rude and sell whatever they want in this restaurant. They don’t respect their customers’ preferences. It’s a very bad restaurant. They should send a supervisor.

I went in about 5:30 p.m. It was not busy at all. I placed my order for a family bucket of extra crispy. I was told they only had a few pieces of extra crispy and that if I wanted the bucket I would have to get the remaining in the original recipe I really don’t like the extra crispy but needed the food for the Gang. As expected the extra crispy was in the bottom of the bucket and all stuck together and soggy. Frustrating when you go to a chicken place and they don’t have the chicken you’re asking for. Staff was fine.

If I could give a zero I Would!!! Went through drive thru to order tenders, both order faked and manager I assume was the manager stated they only had 8 piece chicken meal. Asked for fries and mashed potatoes, stated they only had potato wedges. $34… and they couldn’t even say they was sorry for the inconvenience or do not and not go here, local of clipper don’t know any difference as besides due to lack of restaurants in the area. Worst if I have been too
