Nice, cozy café with a pleasant, bright interior. Overall a good spot, but the food was a bit disappointing for me. I ordered a sandwich, and it turned out quite dry. Even though it had pesto, the flavor was somehow bland. The bread was very heavily toasted, honestly too hard, which really affected the experience. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the sandwich.

The cappuccino was good, the coffee itself was solid. The place is popular, so it was fairly noisy inside, and the music was quite loud. Service was good though: friendly staff and everything came out quickly. At first, my coffee was served in a chipped cup, but I asked to replace it and they did so right away without any issues

Came here for the first time when I was visiting friends in Austin. It was so delicious! I had the sausage and gravy but the definitely could have put more gravy on my biscuit. But it was delicious, the blueberry pancakes were also so delicious! Our server was very nice and attentive! I highly recommend will definitely be back when I’m in Austin

Well it’s cute, but at what cost. I ordered the combo breakfast … something I assumed couldn’t go wrong… boy did I judge too fast. I got my eggs over medium( as I alway do). So imagine my surprise when my eggs came RAW. The whites of my egg was completely raw, and the yolk was so runny. It could have subbed 3 the austin marathon. All this to say, when you order over medium eggs, be expecting an under easy egg instead. I’m unimpressed

Been coming here for a few years, but the best is behind this place now. Long experience (slow to seat, slow to order, slow to arrive, slow to go), hit or miss mains, and a general air of decline. Food, when it really hits, can be a great highlight to brunch — but that’s only if the right cooks are in the kitchen. Tired of feeling like I’m not supposed to be in this restaurant!

A gamble for brunch — so if you’re willing to risk it, you might win big.

Kerbey Lane has always been fabulous especially for breakfast and late night dining. I had the Texas Benedict which was a refreshing twist on a Benedict. The cornbrequest. Steak really sets it apart and is smothered in delicious kerbey queso. I’ve eaten at every location over the years and am a big fan of the South Lamar location due to it’s easy accessibility and the fact that is in the same lot as two of my favorite shops. It always blows my mind that I used to rent videos from the blockbuster that used to be in this spot. The old Kerbey was down the street on the opposite side of the road. As busy as they were, the wait wasn’t long and we were greeted immediately after seating and our order was on the table in no time. Good service from the host stand to the kitchen, servers, and bus staff.

I ordered the verde mac n cheese with fried chicken and left most of my plate untouched because the mac n cheese tasted too much like cilantro and I don’t eat cilantro, so heads up if you don’t like that as well. The chicken was not to my liking either, it was too whole for me. I tried my friend’s french toast and it was good, and the chilaquiles looked good as well, so maybe it was just that I ordered a not-so-good dish. Service was good, considering the place was packed, but too noisy and crowded for me, so I would try to go during slower hours.

I think this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Food is super delicious. That explains why it’s packed with people around noon, even on a weekday. They have more seatings indoor and a couple of tables outside.

The food is always so good! We eat at Kerby Lane a few times a month. The pancakes are a definite recommendation. Meatloaf, Buffalo chicken sandwich, Burgers… really theres not anything I’ve tried that’s not a hit. We had a great time tonight. I tried the Crabby Patties; so good. Our server, Lync was delightful and very friendly 10/10. She answered questions about the menu and she was very friendly, too.

Andrew was great! He made solid recommendations and was attentive without being intrusive. He even spruced up our dessert when he heard my wife was celebrating a promotion. Love this Kerbey. I’ll be back

I absolutely loved eating here for lunch! Ask for Andy, he was super friendly and very attentive. We ordered the cinnamon swirl latte, truffle fries, green chile chicken mac and cheese, and harvest chicken. Everything was delicious and served in a timely manner. If I’m ever back in Austin, I will be stopping back by to try something different. Next on my list is the salmon. They have two different dishes that both sound good.
