The food was delicious and at a good price my only draw back was there was 1 lady kept telling my the “fried chicken wasn’t ready yet before taking my order and the lady in the picture with the black and white jacket over a black shirt and black pants holding something in her right hand, standing at a table visited every table in the restaurant to ask how their meal was except for the the table the had the 2 black guys wearing orange shirts. Then the lady that kept speaking of the chicken came to the table and stated the restaurant would be closed the next day. I asked why and stated they were having a problem with one side of one of the fryers. I asked her why shut down a whole restaurant because of 1 side a 1 fryer not working then told her we were just passing through but thanks for the heads up. Also but may not be related if you look at picture 3 the tables were set up for about 15 people with their maga hats that left when the 2 black guys set in that side of the restaurant. Now to clear up what’s not written, there were a few black people that sat by the door or took to go bags and 1 young light skin guy with an d white man that sat in the booth at the rear of the restaurant. Seating arrangement the notice of the fryer that working the following day and the way the black people came and ordered food and left may all be a coincidence but it was my observation on that particular day. Maybe the lady in the black and white top and the black pants and shirt just don’t take kindly to strangers because she stood and chatted with all of the other tables but I’m just giving my opinion on this rating the food was good it was delicious but they really let you know if you are not from there you shouldn’t be in there unless you order take out or sit by the door.

Home cooking for such a great price! 3 kids and 1 adult all ate for under $30. I’m always pleasantly surprised when I see the bill ☺️ And the ladies who work there are so welcoming. Haven’t met the cook but he never disappoints! Today, my fried eggs were perfect — and the last time we ate there, I could not stop telling everyone about their wings!

We visited while we were in town from Charlotte. The reviews were helpful. Glad we visited. The breakfast was really good and very inexpensive. My whole meal was the same cost as a side at some places.

Our waitress was amazing. She helped with my kids food allergies by making sure there was no cross contamination. I also watched her help an old man (Mr. George – a regular) with a walker get out of his car, into the restaurant and all the way back to his car. …and she made sure he got a hug before he left.

I love this place and hope to come back! Wish there were places like this near where we live.

Extremely slow service.. food is great, but it should never take 45 minutes to receive meal when the restaurant is empty and the hardest order is a double cheeseburger. Took 30 minutes to get a hot dog which I requested come out first for my youngest child, he will pick at his food and doesn’t wait all that well. But like I said the food is great if you have the time and aren’t in a hurry.

My husband and I have been eating at Kent’s for years. The food is consistently good and there is always a variety of meals to choose from. Their tea and coffee are very good. Breakfast has always been our favorite meal to eat when dining out, and Kent’s is always the best and at a reasonable price. I have known many of the staff for a long time and they have always been friendly and provide great service. Personally, I think his fried fish, which is breaded with cornmeal, is the best in town.

This place is amazing. They are so welcoming here. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The breakfast is plentiful and so is lunch. Have yet to try dinner but I imagine it is just as good as the rest. I will upload pictures later.

Drove 45 minutes to get to this place. Was really looking forward to a big home cooked meal. This would’ve been a good place for a breakfast restaurant as they advertise. I could’ve stayed home and had eggs that wasn’t scorched and pears out of a can. It seems to me if you have a breakfast restaurant and you see you’re running out of gravy at 11 and you close at 2. You need to make some more. Server never returned to refill the coffee.

I went here with a friend and we ordered to go but it was a very nice place to eat. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was really good, along like grandmas cooking if you will. No complaints!
