Best damn bar in Waukee by far! The staff is wonderful, they have fantastic bands Fridays and Saturdays, there is a great live music Jam on Thursdays. They really check all the boxes!!!

The reason why is that live music and solid drinks you cannot go wrong with a setup like that. I haven’t had any of the food options yet and I was just wishing they had just a few more servers but otherwise a really amazing to place to be at.

Overall, good time. Bouncer/doorman lacked seriousness and professionalism. Was wearing plain clothes and asked for an ID. Never has been an issue. Proceeded to kick me off the premises. I would’ve liked to see more professionalism. Was a complete jerk when walked in.

Definite dive bar in old town Waukee. Drinks are inexpensive. They do have a few craft beer cans plus the regular dive domestics and liquor. They have live music as well!

This bar could be such a great place if it weren’t for the horribly loud music. I started going last year and it was a great place to see live music and meet up with friends.
Well you might as well show up alone because you won’t be able to hear your friends over the ridiculously loud amp. I’m not sure if the owner has gone deaf or if they just want people drinking instead of talking, but the music is almost twice as loud as it was last year. For christs sake they had a mic for the trumpet player that’s less than 15 feet away.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it was just one night but it seems like half the time I show up with my wife we don’t even make it in the door because you can hear the band blasting from down the block multiple days a week. And the band plays for hours straight.
Last time I left with my ears literally ringing and my wife had to put in her headphones because she was in pain. The volume is far above a safe level for anyone and I have a hunch this has gotten so bad because the small group of these people listening must have destroyed their hearing so badly they can’t even realize how awful it is.
You know there’s a problem when the entire room has the best time during breaks between songs.

Always great live music every weekend, with no cover charge, amazing service, one of the best open jams every Thursday evening from 7-11. Kenny’s is somewhere a single female, like myself can go into anytime alone & always feel welcome & safe, without the worry of being harassed. All around great service, welcoming of first timers, & all around good people!

Final Mix was there and made it really fun! Honestly a great place to visit as we’ve done over 20 years. Service was less than desirable by one waitress as she put her hand square on my back and pushed me out of her path to the waitress station.
