Our sushi hibachi and Asian cuisine are aimed to provide a casual fine dining experience with variety of Asian food. There are two types of seating in our restaurant, regular dine in room and tables with hibachi grills where hibachi chefs cook right in front of you. You can enjoy premium sushi, fun hibachi and some daily Chinese food with friends, dates and families.

We were very impressed with everything going on here at Kendo! They were very busy but still got us seated quickly at the bar, food came out VERY fast and was beautifully plated and beyond delicious! Our server was polite and fast and we could tell he was working hard and enjoying his job. The manager (or owner) was moving around the restaurant helping all the employees where needed and talking with customers. The whole operation seems very organized and like they have a really good team- something we rarely see in this area anymore. Thank you Kendo! We will be back! CRAB RANGOON was the best I’ve ever had!

Had another nice dinner at kendo. Started with a side ginger salad which we both liked. Also had Alaska roll, shrimp tempura roll, tuna avocado roll, and rainbow roll. Tried salmon sashimi too which was delicious. Everything was very good. We will definitely eat here again.
Ate hear three times within three weeks. Service was always very good. Food was always very good. Great presentation of the sushi too. Definitely recommend.

Hidden gem. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We had drinks at the bar before dinner, great Happy Hour prices -$3 for imported beers, $2 for domestic beers, and $5 for the house wine. A couple of us opted for a volcano, which was very reasonably priced, and it packed a punch (in a good way). We were a party of 8 and all of our meals were fantastic. Our favorite was the filet and lobster tail-delicious! Also, you are allowed to share a meal for no extra charge-bonus.

Our experience in Venice FL has been lovely, but for lunch or dinner, the best thing has been eating at Kendo Asian Cuisine. the customer service from Hendre (not sure how to spell it) and the wonderful chef Lee were the best. Chef Lee was a wonderful entertaining, his show was amazing and the food was delicious! We would do it again!

This place was amazing to go too. I love the atmosphere when I walked in it had a sense of calmness that I really enjoyed. They sat me down and gave me the menu and it was quite I big menu. I decided I got steak and chicken and it was really good. They made tons of food I had to carry out 4 boxes because there was so much they had given me. What you’re paying for is definitely worth it and the hamachi chefs and staff were friendly and pleasant. Whoever is putting bad reviews on this establishment does not know what good food is. Definitely try this place out you won’t regret it!

Amazing experience, great food, spent a good part of the evening with the new owner Peter and wonderful staff, we had great conversations. I will definitely go again, I’ve been to other Hibachi restaurants in the area and nothing compares, this is a must go if you’re looking for Hibachi and Sushi cuisine. The restaurant is very clean and decorated in a very upscale pleasant dining experience.
There’s a full bar that is separate from the restaurant or the Hibachi table area, it’s a very nice area to have drinks or to even dying at the bar area, they’ll even bring Sushi or Hibachi prepared meals to the bar.

Our favorite date night sushi dinner spot. The sushi is amazing! They have a really great old fashioned with an awesome presentation! And the servers are always so friendly and accommodating.

Visited Kendo for the first time while in town for the weekend. Was seeking a fun night out with family (including a toddler) for hibachi fun. We waited about 30 mins after seated for a cook to arrive. It would have been nice if they would have told us how long the wait would be. Chef was nice and entertaining the Drink host was accommodating. Seated pretty quickly. It was not crowded for a Saturday night
Drink selection was average (see photos), the steamed veggie gyoza was a bit overcooked and hard, miso soup was fantastic, and ordered multiple options for the hibachi. Rating by item: fried rice (mid) 3/5, noodles 4/5, veggies (zucchini, carrots, onion, broccoli) 4/5, scallops 5/5, shrimp 4/5, chicken (dry and chewy) 2/5, lobster 3/5, steak (overcooked and hard to chew) 2/5, filet mignon 5/5. Miso soup 5/5, steamed veggie gyoza (served burnt) 2/5, tequila sunrise (bartender mixed/shook the drink in a shaker – not made correctly) 1/5. Overall an average/mid place for hibachi with a long wait. Nice to hang out with family and didn’t feel rushed. Located in a strip mall with goldfish and coins in the water feature. Thank you Kendo!!

What a great addition to Venice! I have been to Kendo two weekends in a row for their sushi. The presentation is always gorgeous and sets the perfect vibe for a date night! The employees are friendly and the owner is super attentive. Highly recommend! Their special rolls are so good. My favorite is the volcano so far. Will have to come back to try their hibachi.

The food was amazingly delicious and gorgeous! Like a work of art .We like sitting at the Sushi Bar watching the sushi chef make his incredible creations! Everything delicious we got a free appetizer a stuffed jalapeño popper so good I give the food a 10 ! It’s season now and other restaurants had an hour wait so we wen to Kendo and got right in ! I usually don’t write anything negative but I have to say the place was not clean the counter has crumbs all up and down and was sticky It hand not been cleaned over night and in the restroom the floor was so sticky and dirty your shoes stuck and make sound walking and the corners of the stalls had Dirk and a thick layer of dust had not been cleaned in a long time . I would still go back for the food
