Local, fun, and inviting! The beer selection is just as fun! Krispy Creme burgers! Not my fav but you do have to try it. (I’m on a diet). It’s worth the short drive from Bloomington/Normal.

In the begining there was corn and a field, now there’s a LOT going on in Downtown Sexy Lexy and Kemp’s is in the middle of it all! They have crazy good food, nothing on the menu will be average, lots of beers on tap, 20 I believe, and many more rarities in the fridge. Believe me, no matter who your team is they have a flag hanging and a soccer friendly bar as well! Parking never a problem, and the prices are very fair!

Awesome place, top notch beer selection, great food and service. Popular with the locals, big lunch crowd on the weekend. They really do a great job representing local breweries and a wide variety of craft beer. Nachos with carnitas were excellent, great specials too. Will make this a regular stop off of I-55 from now on.

It was Thursday at 11am so not busy. Seated and given menu told to place order at bar. Wasn’t obvious this was a “no service” place so hubby added tip in when he ordered/paid. Guess he assumed someone would at least ask us if we need more water, nope. No one ever asked us how the food was, if we need anything else. The french dip was totally “undippable” it had obviously been microwaved because the bun was so hot the sandwich could not be picked up. The bun was soggy by time it cooled down some. So ate with a plastic fork, au jus was useless. Menu should say “soggy scalding bun” not toasted bun. On plus side there was plenty of beef the sandwich was simply made to be a soggy open face which is not what I expected in a french dip. Hubby did not like blue cheese sauce on his burger, and he is a big blue cheese lover. His hamburger bun was soggy too- had to eat with fork.

Can’t say enough about the amazing people here! They make it such a great experience and are so helpful with choosing from their huge list of rotating unique beers. Definitely give this place a shot if you’re in the area. I was visiting town and definitely had to stop by Kemp’s. There was a chicken wrap on special that was delicious and the chili was perfect for a chilly day. I’ve always loved the beer selection, but now they also have a couple frozen cocktail options. The agave margarita was soo good! Fast, friendly and personable service, as well. Do it.
