Most often when a bbq joint has to offer more than its BBQ, it becaus ethe BBQ is of poor quality. Kelly’s has thrown a wrench in that motor. If there’s a definition of a BBQ joint, this is it. Small, middle of what is now nowhere, but soon changing, Kelly’s offers up some good pulled pork, deceent sides, fair price and some good sauces. If you get slaw on your pork ( which is the law!) Be prepared to get messy. That just means it good. Moist, flavorful, moist (ladies), and a decent portion. I rank it an A on my smoke & music list. I pass by there regularly and I’ll make it a habit. This is #277 on the list.

As we travel the southeast we love checking out different bbq places. We are from s.carolina and our state has 3 different sauce styles. It’s neat how we have “Hash”, this area in GA has bundricks stew. Kelly’s bbq is a very good. Had option of Normal and hot sauces.
The employees are super nice. The customers are very friendly also. We will be back on our next trip. Blessings

Our family has been enjoying Kelly’s barbecue for as long as I can remember. We love the pulled pork, coleslaw, and stew. But it’s really the unique sauce that keeps us coming back. The staff is always friendly. It’s a small restaurant in a small town. Such a shame that a few haters leave one star to try and hurt this family own business. Don’t let them fool you. This place is fantastic and you won’t regret coming here.

Easily the best barbeque in Walton County. The pulled pork sandwich is the right amount of moist, has the right amount of flavor and is rather filling. If you’re looking for lunch and you’re in the area, this is worth stopping at.

A Masterclass in Southern BBQ – Kellie’s Delivers!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Going to Kellie’s BBQ is not just an eating experience; it’s a culinary journey into the heart and soul of true southern barbeque. From the moment you step in, the ambience – warm and casual – whisks you away into a welcoming setting perfect for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike.

The star of my order was undoubtedly the ribs. The harmonious dance of smoky and sweet flavors, a direct result of their low and slow cooking approach, is what sets Kellie’s ribs apart from the rest. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the rich BBQ sauce had a depth of flavor that I found completely irresistible.

The accompaniments to the ribs were not afterthoughts but partners that enhanced the overall meal experience. The fries were outstanding, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. It’s the kind of side that you could easily polish off before the main course if you’re not mindful!

And then, there was the Brunswick stew, a southern classic that Kellie’s has managed to elevate to a new high. The stew was thick and hearty, filled with succulent chunks of meat and a medley of vegetables. It had a tantalizing smoky flavor and a gentle kick of spice that was well balanced and not overpowering. Truly, it is a must-try dish that complements the BBQ perfectly.

The attentive and friendly staff made the entire experience all the more delightful, ensuring every need was catered to with prompt and cheerful service.

In conclusion, Kellie’s BBQ is a five-star establishment in my book, offering an extraordinary BBQ experience that lives up to and surpasses all expectations. The ribs, fries, and Brunswick stew make a fantastic trio that I can’t recommend highly enough. For anyone who loves BBQ or simply appreciates delicious, high-quality food, Kellie’s BBQ should be at the top of your must-visit list.

These days, it’s hard to find good, tender BBQ meat with a good vinegar-based BBQ sauce coupled with good sides and friendly service. This place has them all. Just got the smoked chicken and ribs. Generous portions, meat nearly fall off bone tender. Absolutely love their homemade sauce (bought a bottle). Will be back for more the next time I have a BBQ craving. The Brunswick stew is great too. Highly recommend!!

The food was just OK, but the prices were through the roof for what you get. Portions were small. Again the food was OK ,but in no way compensate for the prices. The waitress staff, if that is what you call it could have better attitudes. I would have to say skip this one.

For a place that’s been around since the 60s, this place gives the southern vibe of a small town. Great fried food and BBQ, the atmosphere here will give you that old school look with lots of history, and when you enter in, it feels like a southern home. The workers are friendly, lots of options for food, and plenty of space for a dine in. Highly recommend if you’re wanting to support a local business.
