Great Place for breakfast.
Was in town for the weekend and looking for breakfast when I happened upon Kelly’s, I wasn’t disappointed.
I was seated quickly and a cup of coffee was fast on it’s way. Our order was taken and the pancakes, eggs grits, sausage and biscuits with gravy were soon on the table.
This is truly a family oriented place. A local impromptu family reunion of sorts developed while we were there.
If we are ever in the Helena-West Helena area, we will definitely be back.

Large portions, reasonable prices, fast and friendly service and Cafe has a friendly at home atmosphere. On the down side, the food is soaked in grease and neither my husband or I can eat this down south cooking. We both ate a small portion each and we both ended up sick within an hour of eating.

Precisely the sort of local establishment I like to seek out when I travel the country’s backroads. It was clean as could be, staff was cheerful and friendly despite it being early in the day, and the food was both tasty & reasonably priced. My traveling companion and I had a nice breakfast. Miss Darlene checked on us along with other staff to make sure we had all we wanted, and that we’d enjoyed our repast. Should I find myself in their neighborhood again at breakfast or lunch, I’d stop again without hesitation.

Got to Kelly’s at 7:40pm the waitress saw us getting out of our car and lifted the drive through window and said s***!!!! Really loudly then met us at the door and told us ” We close the kitchen at 7:30pm but we don’t close until 8pm.” She was very rude about it. We drove all the way from Moro which was a good 40 minutes away. I wouldn’t recommend this place! This used to be one of the better restaurants in Helena but turning down service before they even technically close is ridiculous!!! I’m highly disappointed and annoyed

The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had chicken and waffles with a side of hashbrowns. It was a very generous portion: two fried legs and two plate-sized waffles. It took longer than expected to get my food, considering the restaurant was not crowded, but the chef came out and apologized. The chicken was fried to a wonderful crisp, but I would have liked for my waffles to be more crisp, it was actually chewy. I did not like my hashbrowns. The prices were more than reasonable. I would definitely go back again.

My husband had the catfish plate he said was very good!! I had a barbeque sandwich and it was terrible even my husband taste it and said something was wrong with the pork they ask me when I checked out how was the food and when I told them about the barbeque they didn’t even react to it. Won’t be back. So that’s why they only get 3 stars!

I ordered a loaded baked potato to go. The potato was very small and had even smaller toppings, a few grilled onions, bell peppers and a tiny piece of cheese for $4.33. I will bake mine at home or brave the long line at Wendy’s next time.

The name has changed to Lacey’s. It is under new management and I love it. The restaurant is cleaned up, grease is off the side of the building and the spiders inside the restaurant are gone.
