Disappointing!
I’ll start with customer service: 2/10
Heavy on the no sense of urgency from everyone!! Apparently I was supposed to wait till the cashier was finished texting before I could purchase my food.
In addition to the slowness, the cashier was handling money, food boxes, utensils, and bags with no gloves or sanitizer. Here’s the problem, the cashier took cash from someone who just popped up out the blue then he reaches for the utensils that are not wrapped in plastic which would protect from the germs that were just on that money he was touching and placed it in my bag Wow
The lady who was preparing food will unfortunately get someone sick from cross contamination. For example if someone wants greens and cabbage for their sides why would you drain off both of those juices, cabbage and greens, in the greens that are on the hot bar that you will feed to other customers. You need to drain the vegetables juices in another area, perhaps an empty sink!!!
The taste of the food: 5/10 I’m being very generous with this rating. Let’s just say I did not finish the food and eventually got McDonald’s after.
Don’t feel bad about hitting up the Carolina Kitchen down the street. I’d highly advise you do that!

First off I love how the business is black owned . But I was very disappointed with the food the potato home fries tasted like a Mexican dish the bacon was very hard and stuck together , eggs were very bland no salt or pepper the sausage wasnt that good either if I had to give this place stars it would definitely be a 3/5 overall great service but I would choose forest square deli or Kim’s diner over this :/

I love this place! The staff is attentive the food is delicious and random side note their bathroom is relatively clean.
I am a vegetarian and a mac and cheese lover. I typically get stuff like rice cabbage mac and cheese etc and other places be it Jamaican, Caribbean, or other soul food places sometimes have runny/wet mac and cheese but theirs is baked and delicious.
Quickly becoming one of my go to.

The new location is much better, but the food is not. I was very disappointed at the bland taste and small portions (compared to the original location) of my whiting dinner with macaroni & cheese and black eyed peas. The cashier was the same, but I believe the cook has definitely changed! My rum cake was moist, but just ok too. I did enjoy my half-n-half. They do not offer the honey bread anymore, and my corn bread was bland too. I think it’s ridiculous that they charge .25 cents for more than one paper bag. They do have a bathroom next to the condiment stand, but I don’t know if patrons are welcome to use it. Other patrons said that the lines are long on Sundays. They are located in a small plaza, with no street parking, so parking will be limited on busy days, like Sunday.

Didn’t get cornbread at all. The yams had this weird clear coating on top that was disgusting. No taste/seasoning on anything. We tried to at least eat the Mac n cheese and just threw it away. The carrot cake smelled rancid when opened. Was wet on bottom. Terrible exp’c. Whole Sunday dinner in the trash:(

I been there for dinner twice and both times I ask do you have whiting fish they say yes then give me catfish as if I’m not gonna be able to taste the difference. The food is bland and has no taste the macaroni and cheese is nasty. If I could rate negative I would. Why lie and say you have whiting fish

I finally got a chance to try this place and I was blown away. No wonder they get so busy. The Mac and cheese tastes like stouffers but better, the pork ribs were tender, the cabbage wasn’t mushy and soggy, and the corn bread was heavenly, and the portions were big. I’m a little lady so that was about 2 meals almost for me. The art in the shop is beautiful and the staff is kind. I will definitely be back to try their pork chops.

Today, Saturday, February 1, 2025, was my first and last time visiting this establishment “Keith and Sons” the quality of food I had was horrible! I was in hopes of having some good old fried chicken wings. The person that took my order was nice and and the only happy person behind the counter. When I was shown my plate it looked great. I later got home and saw they were old, dry, greasy, and tasteless, you can’t imagine how disappointed I was with this nasty food, the greens didn’t have any seasoning on them and I put some of my own on them so I can eat something, the candied yams were full of cinnamon, very watery and all of that dinner wasn’t worth my time going there or my money spent. I don’t even feel comfortable giving the food to someone on the street and I dare not call them to complain. It’s never a problem for me to travel any distance for good food; however for bad food – it’s simply pitiful. It’s a thumbs DOWN FOR ME! I would NOT EVER, EVER!, EVER!, EVER! RECOMMEND this place to anyone. I used the napkin in the photo to remove much of the grease, needless to say; it all went in the trash, I did try to eat the food. It’s important to me to submit this review with hopes that it’s read by management and that they receive this commit with taking an look at what me and I’m sure other has listed about the food and then make some immediate changes for the better. I also never did look at their reviews I was simply going on the past of how people raved about their good food and was in the neighborhood and said let me try them. “Poor choice on me”.

I would say the customer service is great.. the ladies were very sweet as for the food. Bland. I was so confused at the Mac and cheese because it looked good but it was not good. The Rice and gravy needed more flavor and the Yams were better off with nothing in them. While the atmosphere is nice, the food presentation was not the best.. Maybe use tops to cover the food instead of plastic wrap. It looked more like a cookout rather than a restaurant.
