Pretty nice place to grab a quick burrito. Food was cooked to order and was good. Reminded me of a good fresh Tex-Mex. Salsa bar was good and they had a nice variety. My wife and I had different burritos, both were good and we will definitely be back again. If anything, we didn’t love the crispier tortilla. If it was soft and wrapped up complete we would have been happier, but besides that, it’s a winner.

This is a classic Tex-mex restaurant serving pretty good but not authentic Mexico food that I am use to. They do have fast service and a killer salsa bar as well. They try to do a good job and that is what is the norm here in treasure valley. They do have live music and a nice patio area so they get extra points on atmosphere.

Full disclosure: I’m not in the habit of writing negative food reviews, nor am I a food critic for fast food or low end “Tex Mex” restaurants; however, this particular experience left me wondering how I spent $33 for 2 people on such poor food in Eagle. For starters, the theme of what KB Burrito is shooting for seems a bit odd. There are huge murals of the iconic reggae music icon Bob Marley, as you step up to order food from a menu of Mexican food items. This was in contrast with a mural of John Wayne riding a bronco on another wall next to a makeshift grass hut and a cruiser bike hung on the wall. Weird, but anyway…

On to the food: We ordered a breakfast burrito with egg, potato, bacon & cheese (no cheese was found in it) and a 3 street taco plate, along with an order of chips n salsa. Starting with the $5.99 chips (which aren’t complimentary like nearly every other Mexican restaurant I’ve eaten at before)…simply put, the chips were in a huge bin under a warming lamp and were very stale. You can find tortilla chips at Costco or any grocery store that are far better & fresh than the ones served. The salsas in the bar were ok, but none had much flavor or spice compared to many authentic Mexican spots. A disappointment when free… ridiculous at $5.99.

I tasted the Classic breakfast burrito, which had no seasoning on the eggs or potatoes and had very thin pieces of “bacon”. I could not identify the bacon at first and asked what it was (I thought it was grilled deli meat.)Without cheese, hot sauce or their salsa, I would say it was the most bland breakfast burrito I can ever recall eating (including airport food).

My 3 “street tacos” were tiny corn tortillas (approx. 3” in diameter) compared to any taco truck street tacos I’ve ever had. They were described as al pastor style tacos with pineapple and a bit of radish n cabbage, along with pulled pork (I’m assuming?). The portion of meat was ok in relation to the micro tortillas, but it had a dry taste in the mouth. Like the burrito and the chips, these were also flavor-free. They had absolutely no seasoning or flavor cooked into the meat. I will say, the tortillas were actually moist and not bad, if that’s any consolation.

The final “death blow” to this dining experience came as a parting gift when we went to the restroom before leaving KB. Someone had obviously puked in the trash bin and had partially dried up, without an employee noticing it or doing anything to clean up the disgusting mess! Just plain grim.

If you’re looking for quick “Tex-Mex” style food, skip KB burrito at over $30 for 2 people. You will undoubtedly get a better product at a lower price at Chipotle or Costa Vida, or Del Taco for that matter…or just go to the taco truck in the parking lot at the Merc in Star. Sorry for the rant, just trying to help you avoid a bad food experience at over $30.

Taco review- I’ve heard these described as Sun Valley style, which apparently means almost no flavor. The best part about this place is the selection of Coke and their salsa bar. The salsas called Death and Dragon (if I read the bottle top correctly) were good. But the food itself was bland. The fish taco was just a fish taco with a cream sauce that added very little to the unseasoned fish. It looks great, but was very disappointing. Same goes for the “Street tacos”, three pork tacos with pineapple – somewhat like an Al Pastor taco in the description. Again, pretty disappointing. They really look like they’re going to have a bunch of flavor with all that fusion sillyness on top… but nope.
I can see these places satisfying the Sun Valley and McCall customers, but they didn’t cut it as street tacos. For what you get… vs a good taco truck or Taqueria, it was pricey. Three pork street tacos for $9.99, a fish taco four $5.99, chips and salsa for $5.99… plus whatever the drink was. Pricey.

Wouldn’t recommend people to eat at this place! This is the 3rd time I’ve ordered the Ketchum burrito with steak and the burrito was 80% beans with hardly any steak. I opened up the burrito and counted 7 square pieces of steak. A $12 burrito for it to be just beans? We thought this restaurant was at the same level as the KB’s in Ketchum Idaho but clearly not even close. Never again will we eat here.

OMG why did I wait so long to try this? I got the Hailey burrito bowl and it was amazing! My husband got the Shrimp Burrito and was obsessed. Their food is fresh and feels healthy. Highly recommend!

Loved the burritos at KB’s Eagle! Fresh ingredients, big portions, super clean place and fast service. The chips and guacamole were amazing .
Honestly better than other burrito restaurants I’ve tried. Make sure to try the Jordan Burrito, it has a unique flavor that’s different but truly addictive. Totally recommend it.

Pretty good if you’re craving Mexican with California influence. I ordered a Ketchum burrito with steak and a Ketchum with chicken, chips and salsa bar, and queso. I thought the food had good flavor. The flour tortilla is not greasy or steamed so it has almost a dry crunchy texture. I liked the chips and salsa bar and being able to adjust the spice level of the salsa. I tried the mango, pico de gallo, and KB’s salsa. Note that the mango salsa is spicy. Everything tasted fresh. The only thing I didn’t like was the protein to rice ratio in the burrito. The burritos are big, but every bite felt like I was eating mostly rice.
My bill came out around $40 for 2 burritos, chips and salsa, queso, and a drink. Not terribly expensive but not cheap either.

Looking for the best fish taco? Look no further! KB’s is famous for their fish tacos. KB’s Famous Fish tacos are mahi-mahi, cabbage and Cabo sauce with a side of salsa and lime. Priced at $4.99 for one or $8.99 for two, they are worth every penny. It’s hard to put into words how simple, yet delicious these tacos are.

Since 1993, KB’s has been serving made-to-order healthy burritos and tacos. If fish isn’t your thing, they have lots of other great options to consider, including burritos, bowls, salads, quesadillas and a great kids menu. They have a nice vegetarian menu. Gluten-free burritos are available too.

Eagle location: 2794 S. Eagle Rd., Suite 160.
Open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM

KB’s also has locations in Twin Falls, Ketchum, Hailey and McCall.

Highly Recommended!!! — at Ketchum Burrito.

This was my first visit to KB’s to and I tried their Ketchum steak burrito. It was a solid 4 stars. Not the best burrito I’ve had in the valley, but with the help of some hot sauce, it was definitely good. I liked the fresh ingredients and the steak was nice and tender. It was only lacking a little in the flavor department – the spices could go up a notch or two in my opinion.
