First time trying it. Friendly staff and quick service on take out. Ordered chicken tender meal 4 strips two sides and bread. Got green beans and mac n cheese. Chicken was seasoned right and tasted great. Great beans were cooked perfectly and we’re good. Mac was really good too…not overly cheesy or oily. Food was so good I decided to get some for a party I’m having. I’ll write another review once I hear from my guests.

I’ve been working my way through the menu after discovering the brisket sandwich. The brisket was awesome! The wings are good smoked or fried. The fries are fresh and perfect. But everything goes better with the BBQ sauces. I haven’t tried the golden sauce yet but all the others are on point! Must try this place.

I frequently visit KBQ and always enjoy my meals. I bring out-of-town guests here and have never heard disappointment.
My favorite is the beef brisket, and I have also enjoyed the pulled pork. My husband loves the chicken wings and bbq ribs. I’ve been eating their Ranch Salad lately because I am on a diet. I always get it with turkey–melts in your mouth!
Also the best restaurant corn muffins — not too buttery and not too dry.
Add the sauce yourself–it’s unlimited if you eat in.

So happy with this place.I order the lettuce wrap with pork belly and spicy mayo. The staff was friendly and patiently walking me through the options. The environment is both chill with a blues/jazz sound and quick for any lunch goers. Highly recommend this place! 🙂

I ordered the 3 side dinner (choosing mac n cheese, carrot salad and green beans) and my husband ordered a full rack with mac n cheese and potato salad sides).
Only bottled tea with fountain drinks and lemonade rounding out the choices. What respectable BBQ place doesn’t serve tea from a crock??
Ribs were good quality but no smoke taste and not offered cooked with sauce — you had to sauce them yourself at the table. That takes away the caramelization and “meat candy” effect we love. Slightly pricey for a full rack when considered against other local eateries.
Mac n cheese was good, carrot salad tasty, potato salad so-so, but am at a loss as to why they don’t use their leftover ends to make the green beans with. Never saw sauteed green beans in a BBQ place.
They definitely know how to put a scald on their fried chicken wings! Moist inside and a wonderful crunchy coating on the outside.
The three sauces on the table were okay and needed to have clear labeling — most of the lettering was rubbed off and so we were not sure what they were. Two tasted tomato-based and sweet and the third had a vinegar after taste so it must be NC variety.
We had lots of left overs including four sides and when we asked for tops or containers to carry the sides home we were told they don’t offer carry home containers with the exception of the large styrofoam fold over ones. We ended up sitting the open dishes of sides in one of the huge container and were cautious when driving them home so they did not leak in the car.
Service was pretty fast considering the crowd but they need to have their menu posted on the wall behind the counter so everyone is not waiting until they get to the bar to see what they offer. That sure slows things down a LOT.
Nice atmosphere and seating and neatly kept.
Having to go back up to the bar for drink refills is a pain when they are crowded. They should re-think that and definitely put their menu on the wall behind the counter — or put the menus right at the entrance so folks could pick them up and read them while standing in line.

Absolutely delicious!! I read the reviews before going so I went with low expectations. There were 4 of us. One had ribs, one had chicken, one had catfish and I had brisket and sausage combo, but I also sampled the ribs. Everything was outstanding. I had read the brisket was dry, well maybe just a little, but fortunately for me I like it the way it was. Plus one could always put bbq sauce on it. We were all VERY satisfied with the food, price and service. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I feel that the broccoli salad (which is devine) should have the option of no meat (chopped bacon). One of my guests doesn’t eat pork so we were a little disappointed that we weren’t told it had pork in it beforehand especially since we asked. The option for pork free baked beens should also be available on menu. Non pork eaters beware…Otherwise bravo! Now can you open a location in Long Island, NY….please? The food was so good I’m planing an overnight trip just to go get some ribs….lol…but seriously, I am.

The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I enjoyed the pulled turkey and was pleasantly surprised by how moist and flavorful it was, along with the grilled catfish, the green beans, and mashed sweet potatoes…I loved it all!

Large portions, great brisket, pulled pork and pork ribs; beans were very good, cornbread was delicious. Mac and cheese was bland which is the only reason I gave it four stars. Very friendly and helpful staff

Pretty good food and a really convenient BBQ place for Woodmore Towncenter Residents. It’s a lot larger place than it looks from the outside. Being from the South and living in Texas for quite a while, I’ve feasted in my share of BBQ. I think KBQ’s ventilation system works a little too well as the restaurant didn’t smell like a traditional BBQ joint. I think many will agree that the smell of meats being BBQ’d adds tremendously to the ambiance of a BBQ restaurant. Service is fairly quick, prices are reasonable, and the food is pretty good. I will definitely add this place to my monthly rotation of restaurants. For the non pork eaters, KBQ’s smoked pulled turkey is truly amazing! If you’ve been curious about this restaurant, it’s definitely worth your time and money to check it out.

Food is good. Customer service on the other hand is ATROCIOUS . Staff of incompetent school girls lacking professionalism etiquette and propper home training. While Betzabeth C. took me and my fiancé order she appeared extremely unengaged very impatient rolled her eyes while we were deciding on a menu item huffing and puffing and leaning lacksidasically on the counter. when you come into an establishment the cashier sets the tone for the first impression certainly a poor candidate to represent your company perhaps they could do some recruiting at chick fil a. We really enjoyed the food too bad that we won’t be back until the staffing improves.
