One of the best ramen I’ve had in the city so far. The amount of serving is just right! I usually don’t finish a bowl of ramen but during our dinner here, I was able to finish my ramen. I love it! Service was quick. Food presentation is great! The noodles are cooked perfectly! Highly recommend!!

The sushi rolls felt extremely premium. Worth your money if this is an experience you are seeking. I recommend the Buffalo Roll and the Torch Roll. The ramen needs a thicker broth in my opinion. I had the tonkotsu ramen and it was lacking. Definitely go here for sushi. Otherwise great dining experience overall. Attentive servers and good service overall.

Honestly everything was perfect! I got the spicy seafood ramen and chicken karaage and it was all so delicious.

The vibes were a 10/10 and the service was prompt and kind.

Edit: we have been here over 5 times now and we love it. The black garlic ramen is probably our favorite ramen in the city. Coming on a Tuesday is totally worth it! Staff have always been great and while water refilling could be done a bit more often it deserves a 5/5 for that ramen alone.

(Previous review 4/5): Second time here and came based off a recommendation. The ramen itself- spicy fried chicken ramen 4.5/5 (was good and spicy!!, the fried chicken was good but obviously gets soggy really quickly) and 5/5 for the black garlic tonkatsu. We got seated very quickly, and service was good but we never did get our waters refilled- it was fairly busy but we ended up calling them over several times near the end- nothing horrible but I think filling of water should be expected. Takoyaki was very good and served quickly.

Sushi is pretty pricey but looked well made!

However, we would probably come back on a Tuesday because they have specials where ramen is 12.95!

Had a really nice lunch at Kazoku and enjoyed our experience there. The restaurant is clean, bright and standard. Staff was friendly, speedy and hardworking. There was one girl taking all the orders during a busy lunch shift. She was accommodating as well as knowledgeable of the menu.Everything we ordered off the menu was delicious. They have ramen special on Tuesdays so we ordered black garlic tonkatsu and spicy seafood ramen. It was a very rich broth with al dente noodles, generous portion of meat topping. If you like hot go for the spicy seafood or chicken ramen and you will like it.By far the best ramen I have ever had in the city. Will definitely go back to try more sushi dishes.

Have been coming to this restaurant for few years. I would say their quality of sushi is one of the best in Winnipeg. Customer Service is good too! Always enjoy coming here! Just did a take out during this pandemic season and the quality of the food remains the same as when you dine in 🙂

Was a staple and a favourite when I lived in Winnipeg. I may be ready for something new though.

The space is on the smaller side and there’s times where it could be challenging to get a table. I think they do take reservations but we didn’t need one. We were seated right away.

They have a rather large variety of sushi rolls, and they have some other meal options.

The special rolls are always my favourite. They come with something like ten pieces- massive portion for the price. The rice is always fresh and there’s a great portion of fish/veggie to rice. You certainly get your moneys worth.

Unfortunately the two rolls we picked last night were very similar and there wasn’t much variety. The Philadelphia roll was heavy on the cream cheese but the smoked salmon was delicious. The torch roll is always one of my favourites. I love the pickled radish and the wasabi & mustard sauces. There is no level of spice to them so it’s just a nice mish mash of flavours to enjoy.

I opted for the chicken ramen (make it not spicy!). Their chicken katsu was always my favourite but I recommend ordering the chicken on the side so you can add it when you’re ready to eat it so it doesn’t get soggy and so that it retains its crunch.

The ramen’s usually pretty good but I filled up pretty fast, and I found they had a very generous portion of ramen noodles to the other ingredients. The broth is very salty here. It was my favourite ramen place for years.

We also shared an order of gyoza. They were tasty.

My partner has the chicken bulgogi but wishes he’d gotten the beef in the end. There was more spice than sweet/tang to it. It came In a cute box with some veggies and rice.

Overall was a pretty good dinner. Service was decent. There was one server on for the entire restaurant and I think she was busy at some points so it took us awhile to get our takeout containers.

Of note:
When you’re ready to order- close the menu as it prompts the serve staff to come take your order.
When you’re done you approach the counter to pay. They don’t bring the bill or machine to you.
