Food was quite good. Had a salmon and spider roll. Done efficiently and the food was fresh and tasty. Saw the check… They added about 15-18% gratuity with no notice and no sign, for a single person. Had I not read the line items, I would have tipped another 30-40% on top of that. I don’t abide auto tipping. I went to the host to let him know that was not good. He then essentially argued with me, which was silly. I just informed him the opinion of their customer. As I was walking out he was trying to continue to tell me his position. I really don’t like giving negative reviews, but we need to know things like this.

I’m not rooting for Kaze’s downfall — the last thing this area needs is another empty building — but the reality is that the market eventually corrects what customers won’t tolerate forever. Prices have to come down and both quality and service have to rise, because one without the other is a losing equation. Great food with poor service still drives people away, just as attentive service can’t save a disappointing meal. I’d genuinely like to see Kaze regain what once made it special, but if the overall experience doesn’t improve, it’s difficult to see this place surviving the decade.

The best hibachi I done had in the dfw so far. I was shocked by the low reviews recently. My experience was great and the food was great. Long island ice tea was great. Only let down and it wasn’t really a let down to me but some it might be. The cook wasn’t good at none of the tricks . Other than that it was great. I had the steak shrimp and scallops hibachi with extra rice it was only three dollars. But most hibachi are stingy with the rice now. The food was very good. My long island ice tea was great had two. I highly recommend and will go back and this is a real honest review

I get being short staffed- but for the money we paid i expected much better. We were put in the back back room, which had zero atmosphere. Our waters were refilled once after we were done eating, which left an entire meal with no drink… and our cocktails we ordered were served as tabs were being paid. The meal was subpar, crazy thin steak, and the sushi roll wasn’t what we expected due to it being made different from the provided menus?

If you’re packing reservations, at least make sure you have the ingredients and plating to keep a standard. The table across from us had big beautiful water cups and we were given small ugly plastic ones. We were also charged twice for a dinner-for-2 special, and if we hadn’t paid attention would have been robbed. We used to love this place- and this was just our final straw 🙁

Had dinner Friday and was looking forward to it. For being down for 6mo. Was not impressed. They had a chance to do some needed updating. They spent more on the sign out front than anything else. The staff was nice. Still musty and sticky inside. When you look around the decor is weird, brass statues of kids with baskets, kind of grandmother’s house stuff. They have plate ware in the window cills, just random stuff a manager should change or remove. The tuna tower uses imitation crab so does the crab tempura, steak not the best quality and the chicken was chewy. If you don’t each much and are over 12yrs old don’t expect to order the kids hibachi, be ready to show ID, they are strict. If you want fried rice it’s 3$ per serving, no biggie but we had 9 people shared 3 eggs. For the price and quality go to Pei Wei. Boy do I miss Kobe in addison.

Incredible dining experience. Ask for Chef Bachy at the Hibachi, he is funny and sweet.

Full Disclaimer: If you eat here check your bank information to make sure you aren’t robbed and overcharged! The food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t that great either. The portions are definitely much smaller than any other hibachi I’ve been to before. The service is great and the aesthetic and vibe of the inside was nice. They also TOOK extra money out of my account that I needed to have! And when I called to get my money back they wouldn’t let me speak to a manager.

Food was alright. I got white tiger roll, which was ok. My partner got the chicken hibachi and the chicken was tender (needed more sauce tho). The waitress told me my sushi might not be enough to fill me, but it was 8 fat rolls so I don’t know what she was talking about. The decor outside is nice. It was hard to take food pictures because the blue light outside made the food look blue.
