My daughter and I were looking for something somewhat healthy in midtown found this place. We were happily welcomed in and seated. There were so many awesome choices both vegan and not vegan. I chose the Lime Chicken Enchiladas which were sooooo delicious! My daughter ordered the half sandwich and half salad which was just what she was looking for. We also had the strawberry banana smoothie, yummy!

We loved this place so much we came back again a few days later! I could have ordered something different but those lime chicken enchiladas were sooooo delicious, I had to get it again!

Great place for healthy food. They have a lot of gluten free and vegan options. Staff was very pleasant and definitely worth a visit. They do uncharge for gluten free bread like many restaurants but helps provide a gluten free friendly menu.

Absolutely enjoyed our meals!

I got a salad that was loaded with cucumber, kalamata, tomatoes and quinoa with hummus and warm pita. Delicious!

My husband got the jerk. Chicken sandwich with side salad. He loved it!

Service was very fast and pleasant.

It is small and tables somewhat tight but it’s not loud. My husband and I easily carried on our conversation.

We will definitely be back! Thanks for providing something healthy!!

We just had a great dinner with THE BEST service at Kayak with Chloe and Serina! My daughter has celiacs and they totally took are of us. Plus they put on Harry Potter to distract the children! A+ hands down amazing!!!

Gosh, I do not typically leave negative reviews, but last night’s experience has led me here. We have given Door Dash and Kayak Cafe (downtown) grace multiple times – following other unpleasant experiences. Last night was too disappointing not to share…
After deliberating about what to have for dinner when it was already past dinnertime, I opted for delivery from Kayak (again) b/c our first choice no longer has what we prefer since they changed their menu. Last night’s experience w/ Kayak and Door Dash was far from decent. Order was confirmed at 7:40pm and estimated delivery (from Door Dash) was b/t 7:50-8:11pm. After checking multiple times w/ the driver about their delayed arrival, they finally arrived at 8:57pm.
I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Caesar Salad, which the menu describes as “Romaine Hearts, Roasted Chicken, Tomatoes, Sliced Avocado & Shredded Asiago”. It arrived as chopped lettuce, bits of chicken, a few diced tomatoes, and a sprinkle of dried shredded cheese. Also ordered was the tomato basil soup, of which totally lacked flavor.
Obviously there are options (thankfully) for dinner and planning ahead is preferable. I believe it’s helpful to the establishments/businesses providing services to know when quality can be improved.
This experience is hopefully our final lesson learned about disappointment with Kayak Cafe (downtown) and Door Dash delivery. Thank you for allowing me to share. Peace.

We came here with my sister and her husband while they were on vacation in Savannah. They wanted something clean and healthier, and I’ve seen this place so many times while being downtown, so we decided to give it a try. The food wasn’t bad by any means, but it also wasn’t over the top good. My Mexican Chicken Salad was good, but there were so many things they could have done to make make it worth the $16 it was. I know food places jack prices up when they deem the restaurant a healthy alternative, but it wasn’t anything different from any other place with salads. They make a fresh pressed green juice and sell them in small servings. They were $8.50 for a little container of the juice… It was okay, but I wouldn’t say worth the price. They have options to sit outside, which is nice for people watching, but definitely just a basic atmosphere inside. Like I said, food was okay, and the service was great, but it definitely wasn’t anything spectacular.

I was very disappointed in my 1st time ordering here. I got the Southwest Chicken Caesar salad. From the menu it sounded delicious. I was not impressed receiving my food. For $16.99 The salad was a small portion of Roman lettuce, cut tomatoes, 6-7 pieces of overcooked cubed chicken and dressing. They forgot the cheese and the avocado slices.

Such a nice break from all the heavy foods of the area. Everything was fresh and light which made walking and exploring after that much better! Had the pineapple upside down smoothie and it was such a delightful surprise that it genuinely tasted like fruit and not desert. So refreshing.

My husband and I are vegan and ordered the tiger tofu quesadillas and the black eyed pea burger. Both of them tasted like fish, which makes me think our food wasn’t actually “vegan”, possibly cooked in the same pan as fish…mixed drinks were weak and the server/bartender was not welcoming and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. And the TV was on so loud it was hard to talk with the other couple we were with. We’ve been to the Kayak Kafe in midtown a few times and had completely different experiences. Very pleasant staff and the food tasted as it should and very good. I will not go back to the Broughton location.
