I ordered the filet mignon hibachi meal and when I tell you my mind was blown when I took a bite into that steak.. it was the most tender piece of meat I can ever remember eating and the flavor was incredible. If I hadn’t known where it was ordered from, I would believe it was from an expensive steakhouse!

I order from here all the time because their sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, rarely get the hibachi, but I am so impressed! Especially ordering delivery I always set my expectations low. You can bet I will be ordering that again!

The Kawa Hibachi & Sushi is the best in the game. It is, indeed, a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it by accident because we wanted to take a break from practicing drivers liscence, but fortunately for us, we came here.

The restaurant is clean, floors are squeaky clean, tables and chairs are clean.

There is a place next to bar where chefs/itamaes cook.

Food is filled with flavor, fresh. For the tastes they offer, the price is normal, not inflated.

They have their Japanese Lemonade with glass marble. Not for us but a fun experience for sure!

Wish everyone to at least once experience coming here.

Menu is very diverse, they are flexible with your order. Service is fast, management feels honest and homey.

Whenever you get a chance, come inside and enjoy music, entrance aquarium decor, ambiance of things.

Amazing place.

Clean, spacious, and great quality of sushi for the price. Was about $25 per person and came out well satisfied. The staff was friendly, and no wait time required for Saturday lunch. Would recommend coming again.

We had bento box and sashimi & sushi lunch combo.

Top Notch in Every aspect. Hidden Gem in the North Hills. The Service was phenomenal, our waiter (Chris) was excellent. We had the special – Toro (Tuna Belly) – absolutely Perfect, Philly Roll, and a Spicy Tuna/Salmon roll – which was one of the top 5 rolls I’ve had in Pittsburgh. Everything about this place was great, Highly recommended. Def vying for the Top 3 Hibachi/Sushi in all of Pittsburgh area, and I’ve tried them all far and wide. Side note this isn’t your traditional Hibachi Table with the flames and flying shrimp so don’t expect that, but it still makes up for that with the quality.

I came here with my husband for date night and my only regret is not eating here sooner. The sushi was so fresh and so flavorful. And the shrimp fried rice beat my expectations. The rice was well seasoned and had huge pieces of grilled shrimp that was cooked perfectly. We will be back with the whole family!

Kawa is simply phenomenal. I’ve visited twice so far for lunch on the weekend and I was blown away each visit by so many aspects of the experience. First and most importantly, the food is absolutely incredible (nothing compares in this area.) Each ingredient is unbelievably fresh, pronounced and defined in it’s taste – and cooked to absolute perfection. During each visit I’ve ordered 3 sushi rolls (pictured: shrimp tempura roll, vegetable tempura roll, and a salmon avacado roll) – accompanied by the hibachi lunch (pictured is a shrimp hicbachi lunch and a chicken hibachi lunch) – which come with a delightful soup or salad and the best hibachi rice I’ve ever had. In addition to the breathtaking food, the atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff is so friendly – not to mention it is spotless inside. The eatery is thoughtful and elegant, and the tables are so clean (not the sticky surface that you find at many dine in experiences.) I personally don’t prefer dining in a traditional hibachi setting in front of a chef so this is an added bonus of Kawa for me. In summary, visit Kawa (in person) – or you’re truly missing out.

Little spot in Duncan Manor by the DMV. Good service. Cushy booths. Every bite was tasty! Tried the Japanese soda pops which comes in these glass bottles you active with a marble… Go try one, you’ll see what I mean! Sushi was fresh, fried things were crispy, flavors were there. Yeah, just a good sushi place. Try the da’bomb roll!

This is a must! Fresh sushi rice, fresh fish and excellent presentation (even on takeout!)
I appreciate that they take the sauce off for my daughter’s eel and their ginger dressing is heavenly.
Thank you Kawa for being in our neighborhood!

Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the shrimp and filet mignon hibachi plate, sashimi appetizer, salmon avocado roll, with tempura ice cream and mochi for dessert. Everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned/not salty. A nice treat for date night.
