Not going to lie this place is terrible! Pizza cooked all wrong! Calzones suck! They give Italians a bad name! Their gravy has no flavor!

Over the last four months or at least four orders that we have had they have never got a pizza right and then when you call them to tell them, they tell you to bring it back up. Well we live 20 minutes away. That’s a 20 minute drive there and 20 minute drive home. I’m used to having cold pizza but when you pay for something you should get what you ordered the last several times they’ve gotten the pizzas completely wrong. This time we bought a large and a medium and we got a large and a small and I asked to talk to a manager and the only thing she said was well. I’ll find out who did that and I’ll talk to them that’s the same thing they told me four months ago so it looks like Gambinos is starting to get to the bottom of the shoe pile. They’re not interested in fixing anything and I’m tired of spending $45 on pizza that I get to throw in the trash or feed to the cats.

I would go for the salad bar and the mobster pizza. It is comparable to a supreme. I tried the capone, but it lacked flavor, maybe it needs some spicy sausage like Jimmy Dean’s. It’s still a 4-star for food because the other pizzas have been good and the salad bar was great. The service was as expected for a pizzeria and the servers were nice.

Gambino’s Pizza – A Repeat Disappointment

This was my second visit to Gambino’s Pizza in a week, and unfortunately, it confirmed that the first bad experience wasn’t just a fluke — it’s the norm here.

To start, customer service is almost nonexistent. I had to ring a doorbell just to be acknowledged, and even then, no one came. It actually took an off-duty employee walking in for their shift to notice I was standing there waiting. That’s not just unprofessional — it’s flat-out disrespectful to paying customers. No customers in the store, and everyone just hanging in a huddle not paying any attention.

Once you do get their attention, don’t expect anything to move quickly. The staff seem totally uninterested in urgency, and the wait times are unreasonable, whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout. There’s no communication, no apology, and no effort to keep things running smoothly.

Even worse, I noticed several hygiene issues that raise real concerns about health code compliance. Staff were touching their hair (which was left down and uncovered) and handling kitchen items without washing their hands. In any food service environment, that’s unacceptable — it shows a lack of training and care for the customer’s safety.

Two visits, same result: slow service, unsanitary practices, and staff who appear more inconvenienced by your presence than ready to serve. Gambino’s might survive on its name or location, but if things don’t change fast, I can’t imagine many people choosing to return.

As a restaurant general manger for multi-million dollar stores in DFW. I really do hope they figure it out. I did give it two visits to make sure it wasn’t a fluke…we all have bad days.

We ate lunch buffet. The pizza was cold and touch. Might have been an off day because we have eaten there several times and the food was a lot better.

Hubby and I couldn’t agree on our pizza, so we got half veggie and half meat lovers. Delicious. Also got a dessert pizza to go.

don’t listen to the negative reviews. The only bad thing about the place is how its not close enough to home. Delicious food, great service, and clean tables.
