That said, the experience fell short in a few key areas. The restaurant appeared noticeably understaffed during my visit, which impacted service. While the staff on hand seemed to be doing their best, wait times were longer than expected and service felt rushed at times. It wasn’t necessarily poor service, just stretched thin.
As for the food, it was okay but nothing memorable. The dishes were edible and presented fine, but the flavors didn’t stand out, especially for a place that positions itself around tacos and tequila. Given the atmosphere and pricing, I expected more from the food itself.
Overall, Kavas Tacos & Tequila shines in entertainment and ambiance, but improvements in staffing and food quality would go a long way toward making the experience match the energy of the space. I’d consider returning for drinks and the vibe, but I hope to see improvements if dining is the main focus.
The only downside was that it was pretty noisy on Saturday night, with very loud music coming from a neighboring restaurant or nightclub. If you’re looking for a quieter dinner, keep that in mind.
Otherwise, a fantastic experience — we’ll definitely be back!
Outside, the restaurant was so colorful and beautifully decorated with warm lamps — I couldn’t stop taking pictures! Every corner felt vibrant and full of life.
I’m from New York, and this place truly impressed me. I’d definitely recommend visiting for dinner, since that’s when you can enjoy the fire show and capture some amazing, colorful photos. A must-visit spot for great food, lively vibes, and memorable moments!
I tried the barbacoa tacos — they were good, but I think I’d prefer them with corn tortillas next time (my son ordered flour ones). The drinks were incredible! I had the Wicked Watermelon and the Blackberry Smash — both were amazing!
There was live mariachi while we were there, and they were fantastic. Overall, a great experience — I’d definitely come back!
Mariachis from 1pm on are the best as well.
Overall great expirience.
If you are sick with the sugarcoated , deep fried American food, this is a place to visit!
Great margaritas, Mexican beers and live playing mariachi.
Highly recommend.
However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to talk , than I guess you have to arrange te separate room.
We came in and sat at the bar as we wanted to watch the game while getting some food. No sound but that’s ok. The bartender was attentive the whole night and really knew when she was needed or not.
We tried the salsa, ground beef tacos, and the steak fajitas. Wow! Everything was delicious. The salsa is endless and we thought it was fresh. The steak fajitas I still dream about. They came out sizzling with plenty of green peppers and onions. The rice was just right. They gave a small portion of guacamole and sour cream was it worked out fine for dinner. They also provided 3 flour tortillas.
We did see a mariachi band in the restaurant going up to tables. They also had a photographer come around. They took our picture. Came out great. They brought it over to show us and they can print the photo or make keychains with the photo. It was a bit pricy paying for the photo but we had a great time and liked the photo.
Parking was not free but it was around $6 for our dinner hour.
