I brought a group of flatlanders up to Fond du Lac for a bike race. Many of them know my affection for wisco supper clubs and family restaurants. The pressure was on.
Katy’s was only a 15 minute drive from our hotels and had a menu with something for everyone. We shared some appetizers including the 3 for $12 assortment, who isn’t happy with fried cheese curds?!?
The salad bar was better than I expected from these reviews. They also had two soups, broccoli cheese and seafood chowder. Rolls and butter also available.
It being Saturday night we had Wisconsin’s greatest hits available – fish fry, broasted chicken, prime rib. So many potato choices. A small but clever hack of putting the butter pats inside the baked potato so the butter melts right on it. There was something for everyone, even one ice cream sundae made it to the table.
All of the staff was great but I especially want to shout out to our waitress Kendall. She likes her job and it shows. She said she’s been there for a few years and I hope that stays true when we come back for the race next year. She communicated proactively and by the end of the night we were communicating without even having to speak.
The food is very affordable and tasty. I definitely recommend.

Crowded by salad bar ,cute place,! Haddock tast like Cod! Bartender didn’t have ingredients for a real gimlet ,tasted bad! People were very nice ,had to clear our own table,if we wanted room after dinner!

Drove 30 minutes to have dinner here because we wanted to try something new and the reviews looked good. For a small town bar/restaurant I wasn’t expecting much, but even going in with low expectations it left much to be desired.
I got the Haddock Oscar with crab, asparagus and a cream sauce. Given the restaurant’s vibe (small dining room next to a rowdy bar, mounted deer heads on the walls, etc) this entree seemed out of place from the rest of the menu. The “crab” was imitation, which I should have expected. The cream sauce was a grainy, gelatinous consistency and didn’t taste right at all. The whole meal was bland, not worth the $17 by any means. My boyfriend had the battered walleye which was just okay. The service wasn’t great either. Overall this experience was just disappointing 🙁

My wife and I have been to Katy’s 4 or 5 times and have been amazed at the staff, service and food! We live about 25 miles away, but we aren’t afraid to drive for good food, but the staff and service make this a go to place lately. Keep up the awesome work! We will be back!!

Was there with a small group for lunch. Half of the group ordered the salad bar and two had a side off the menu plus the salad bar. The other two ordered hot sandwiches. Hot sandwiches and appetizers took a very long time to come out (20 minutes) and the fries were not hot on either plate. One member of our group ordered chicken wings (app) and asked the server about her order when the hot sandwiches and the other app came out. She asked a 3rd time and the wings arrived just in time to put them in a “to go” box. I could understand if they were busy…but they weren’t. 4 other tables of 2-3 diners. One was seated and had already ordered, one came in the same time our group arrived and one came in 15 minutes after we arrived.

Our group of 8 ate here the night before Race the Lake. The restaurant wasn’t crowded despite a Saturday night, and we had no trouble getting a big table.
Appetizers were quite tasty, and the main meal was even better. Kendall (sp), our server, customized my really tasty burger, and I heard other meals were just as good.
I’d certainly come back here when I return to the area again.

Katey’s just did the catering for my folks wedding anniversary party. The broasted chicken was juicy and the mashed potatoes and corn were delicious! She was so easy to work with and went above and beyond. So affordable and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

Decided to go for a hike and ended up at the Horicon Mash. Enjoyed an amazing hike and worked up an appetite so a short drive and we were at Anita’s… a very nice, clean, welcoming environment with polite and helpful staff. We enjoyed an amazing burger and waffle cut fries, followed by the most amazing desserts
