The restaurant opens for dinner at 5 PM, and it was already packed the moment doors opened — a good sign!
Considering the quality, the prices are very reasonable.

We tried the Original Pork Cutlet, Black Pork Cutlet, and Cheese Cutlet — all of them were absolutely delicious.
Honestly, it’s the best tonkatsu I’ve had since coming to the U.S.

The Black Pork Cutlet was on another level. The dark, crispy coating didn’t look as photogenic, but the flavor was unmatched.
Staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was clean and simple — just like the food: honest and satisfying.

Tried Katsu by Ouzen during their soft opening, and it was great! The shrimp katsu, chicken karaage, and cheese katsu were all very tasty. Their sauce, salt, and small side dishes were also impressive. Since it’s a new place, everything was clean and fresh.

The staff still need a little more training, but they were friendly and trying their best. I’m sure they’ll get even better as they settle in. My only complaint is that they only had two high chairs for kids, so hopefully they add more in the future.

Overall, this is shaping up to be one of the best katsu spots around. Definitely looking forward to coming back once they officially grand open.

What makes this place special?
This katsu shop is unique for a few reasons:
1️⃣ Different breading options : This is a gamechanger. They even bake their own bread that is used for make their special bread crumb mixture.
2️⃣ Combos – You can order half portions of katsu + soup for a balanced meal.
3️⃣ Debasaki Wings – This famous Nagoya specialty is here.
4️⃣ This is a Korean version of Japanese katsu. Do not compare to authentic Japanese food, as this is a creative and innovative Korean approach to Japanese food.
5️⃣ Housemade cheongyang pepper peato for katsu topping, which is truly unique.
6️⃣ Umami rich truffle salt for dipping provided with every katsu order.
7️⃣ Yamakurage side dish, special pickled lettuce stem that is a 168 hour fermentation process and pairs deliciously with rice.

This is a brand new restaurant and still in soft opening, currently open to the public. Please be patient until their Grand Opening.

I visited this new tonkatsu spot because I heard great things, and it did not disappoint. The pork cutlet was the softest and thickest I’ve ever had in the U.S.—perfectly tender. The breading was incredibly crispy and crunchy with amazing texture. The cheese katsu was packed with cheese and tasted absolutely delicious.

On top of that, the staff were extremely friendly and the whole place felt very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back!

I visited during their soft opening. So there may be some wait. The tenderloin katsu was juicy, perfectly cooked, soft, and really delicious. Both the cheese katsu and the sirloin katsu were also great, and I liked that they gave plenty of cabbage salad on the side. Udon was nothing special and tasted okay.

The only downside was the rice. It was completely clumped together like sticky lumps. Everything else was so good, I really hope they can improve the rice so it doesn’t ruin such a great meal!

Randomly went to try out this place for the first time. Parking is easy, as there is a free parking lot. Atmosphere is okay, nothing wow. The menu is easy to understand- they have katsu options noodle options, curry options, etc. Of course they are known for their Katsu. If you are vegetarian, I would not recommend this place. I can’t remember any vegetarian items, but maybe there is something… but not worth it for vegetarians. Thankfully someone came to our table to get our order. We ordered Fish Katsu and a Mix Katsu order – half cheese and half kurogoma fillet. They have a sigh at the front when you first enter that they make each order fresh, so it takes time for each order. So, once placing our order, it did take a while for the food the come out, but we were okay. There were only two guys there working and running around everywhere. We got our food and there were a ton of things on the tray. I didn’t like that I said it was my first time there and he didn’t really explain anything on how to eat it. Then I saw the table next to me had some laminated instructions on how to eat Katsu. Unfortunately, it still was not clear on how I was supposed to eat the fish Katsu. I had to start looking around me and see what other people were doing. Then I understood how to eat the cabbage with the brownish sauce in a glass bottle (like dressing). The utensils and chopsticks are cute with the gold and black designs. Since there were only two guys there in the front dealing with all the customers, they don’t come back around to check on you or ask if you need anything. So many times people were going to the front to get refills on something or asking for napkins (including me). It was a little inconvenient that I couldn’t even get their attention to ask if they could help me understand how to eat my dish. Regardless, I really enjoyed the fish Katsu, even if I may have eaten it wrong. Haha.
At the end you have to go to the counter and pay, a little weird since they come to you to take the order and never tell you about going to the front to pay at the end. Overall an okay experience, it was a good try.

We visited this restaurant during its soft opening, and while the interior decoration felt a bit sparse and unfinished, its early reputation had already generated positive buzz. Curious and hopeful, we decided to give it a try. The katsu was the highlight of the meal—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and well-prepared. It paired nicely with the accompanying side dishes, and we genuinely enjoyed every bite. The flavors were balanced and satisfying, suggesting strong potential as the menu continues to develop. Service was attentive and courteous, which made a positive impression, especially during an opening phase when operations can often feel rushed or disorganized. The staff appeared eager to provide a good experience, and that effort showed.
One small note for improvement: even during a soft opening, the handwritten memorandums posted at the entrance felt a bit unpolished and could have been avoided or replaced with a more refined sign. Presentation matters, especially when first impressions are being formed.

Best Katsu restaurant in town.
All the menus we ordered were very tasty. Katsu was very soft and tender, the breading on the katsu was crispy but not overdone, making it very enjoyable.
The Cheese Katsu was amazing, definitely better than what I’ve had elsewhere.
Chicken karaage was delicious and shrimp katsu was very juicy and crispy.
The food portions are quite generous

We had wonderful time at this restorant. The food was clean and well-prepared.
The katsu was crispy on the outside and tender inside — my child absolutely loved it!
The salad dressing came in a small bottle, which was a nice touch and really enhanced the flavor.
The interior was neat and modern, making the place very comfortable to dine in.

Amazing katsu!! I’ve tried mutiple katsu places in the area, and I was very happy to find this place. Moderately priced, big portion, and the food is really good. Reminded me of all the great japanese-korean style katsus I had in Korea. We went back again after our first visit because we were craving their katsu again. It would be nice if they could crank up the heat a little more because it was pretty cold on both days we visited and felt like there was no heater on..
