Holy secret spot Batman! -Reservation Recommended- This place was awesome! We arrived right at open and were seated at the bar. As we read through the menu one of the chefs was giving us advice. All the staff were so nice and helpful! The feed tasted amazing and arrived at a perfect pace. When we finished they double and tripled checked as they wanted to serve us more!
Can’t recommend enough!

Very fresh sushi in a very old school setting that’s been around for 56 years! Some of the freshest handmade nigiri you can get outside of the touristy spots in Waikiki. Absolute standouts were the scallop handroll, the hamachi nigiri, the spicy unagi handroll, the Hawaiian handroll, and the California handroll. The interior is very intimate with outside seatijg available. Great spot and great value, certainly worth a visit.

Exceptional service!! It was very busy and you only get to order five items (1-2 pieces depending on the item) at a time but we never waited long for our next round! Very quick and efficient service from everyone in the restaurant. I could not believe how quickly we were all receiving our food, round after round especially since everything is made to order! Also it’s BYOB!!!! Say less! Thank you so much for the amazing food and hospitality!

Bra~, this place is legit (perhaps the best deal on the rock for all the delicious nigiris, hands down). Rice proportion is just perfect — you taste more sashimi with the perfect amount of rice. Ahhh leche par, coming again next Friday with some ice cold beer. Mahalo~

I recently finally visited this place and I love it! The fish to rice portion is great(less rice more fish). The quality of fish and rice is soo good even their tamago kept my attention for a bit, and I don’t normally order it. Salmon skin hand roll here is one of the best rolls I’ve had anywhere. Highly reccomend just don’t forget to BYOB! 🙂

Update: as of November 2025 Kats is still delicious! I have absolutely loved all of the sushi we’ve tried the last few times we’ve come in (specifically the hamachi, scallop hand roll, unagi, and salmon) and legitimately cannot wait till we come back to visit Kats Sushi again. Additionally, everyone who works at Kats is so friendly and offers next level service. This place rocks and is one of my favorite spots to visit on Oahu! Original review: Kats Sushi is delicious and the quality is absolutely fantastic! This review from me is coming many months after my girlfriend and I last ate here on our last trip to Oahu (in May 2024) but we still talk about this place a ton and are excited to come back on our next trip. Everything we had was fantastic and a great value– I remember the unagi especially being a stand out. Honestly some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere (especially for an ayce spot). Street parking was also easy enough and the staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We absolutely love this place and are excited to come back again soon!

All You Can Eat is $32.95. Add 3% fee when using a credit card. Quick service and friendly staff. Casual and relaxing neighborhood sushi place. Really enjoyed the added flavor of shiso leaf in some of the hand rolls. It was my first time trying a clam nigiri. I like the texture and clean flavor. Salmon Skin Hand-roll is my favorite. Soda and tea are available for purchase. Party Platter option available Nigiri is $1.50 per piece snd Hand-roll is $2.50 per roll, no minimum order.

A previous reviewer warned about sitting outside because of sudden rains. Well, we were outside and it rained–hard. Not the fault of the restaurant, but just be warned that if you don’t get a table or the sushi bar inside, it’s a possibility. They moved us inside and found us a couple of seats at the sushi bar. Other than that, it was a good experience. Service was great. Sitting on the patio was great until it rained. The fish was very good. The cuts were well done. The rice tends toward the drier side which is great for the handrolls. It keeps the nori from getting soggy too quickly. I thought that the price for all you can eat was reasonable. Had no problem finding parking on the street on a Friday evening. Amazing amount of output for just two chefs.

love coming here for the food, and the owner is very nice! My only issue is with the confusing ordering system – I prefer to say how many pieces of sushi I’d like, but they want me to say it as servings, which equates to 2 pieces. When you come here with 2+ people, speaking in servings gets confusing because it doubles with each extra person. I try to make it simple and just speak in ‘pieces’ but for some reason 2 of the waitresses here always get confused and get our order wrong. Their attitudes are also not the best, not friendly and ‘over it’ feeling. Multiple times they forget to bring something we requested.

The fish and rice quality was excellent, creating a harmonious blend in each bite. The sushi was amazing, compared to other all you can eat sushi restaurants I’ve been worldwide.

The sushi had a delightful melt-in-the-mouth experience, earning a solid 10/10 recommendation.

Despite servers occasionally overlooking small requests like water during busy times, their eventual follow-up mitigates concerns.

Patience is advised for a popular all-you-can-eat restaurant, ensuring an overall enjoyable experience.
