Kat’s Cafe and Arts is a coffee shop and art gallery in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It is a legacy to Katherine’s autism journey. Katherine is an amazing person that has overcome many challenges in her life. She worked 60 to 80 hours a week for many years to learn to communicate. Today, Kat will greet you with a smile and may ask you many questions. She learned how to play the harp and piano, and eventually how to open up to us. Now we look forward to teaching her to work in a cafe. We never gave up hope and now this autism success story ends in triumph! Kat’s Cafe is the realization of that dream, a place where Katherine can continue to learn while sharing her special gifts.

We found this cafe walking Flagler Ave today! This is such a cute place and the two gentlemen working were so friendly. They have “Beachin Burritos” which I hear are delicious and lots of yummy baked goods!! My husband and I each got a coffee which was delicious. They’re connected to Kat’s Arts, which supports such a wonderful cause helping people with autism and other disabilities. The cafe has all of these talented individuals art work displayed throughout. We will definitely be back!

The best local coffee shop around! The owners and the staff are some of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. All of the baked goods and coffees are consistently amazing from Kat’s Cafe. In addition, there are plenty of pottery options to buy from local artists, and Kat even plays the harp on weekends.

Thank you for making this cafe feel like home!

I honestly wasn’t expecting much since I just happened to pass by, but I was really surprised — their Iced Vanilla Latte was super delicious! The staff were very friendly, and the place has such a cozy and welcoming vibe. Definitely glad I stopped in, and I’ll surely be coming back.

Love this cafe and coffee shop! I dropped in today and had a delicious cappuccino but also was thrilled to hear beautiful music in the room next door. I followed the sound and had the pleasure of meeting Kat and hearing her play harp as i enjoyed my hot brew. Before I left we checked out the beautiful pottery and artwork too!

I had a burrito and coffee. Great place to relax and enjoy a very clean and quiet experience. Pottery for sale adds nice touches and decorative look. No other place like. It in town. Can’t wait to visit on the weekend and listen to the harp live. Would highly recommend to anyone

Was very impressed by this cafe, from the iced latte I got to the large selection of handmade pottery they had for sale. We talked to the owners and they explained their motivation for the work they do, which is to support the neurodivergent community. The owners daughter was also playing the harp when we went, so we got to enjoy a wonderful live performance. I will definitely come back here.

It was an overcast day at the beach but we found this cute little cafe today! My daughter and I got a macchiato and a matcha, super delicious. Love their mission and cause for Autism. Very quaint and welcoming. Would definitely recommend. Would love to go when there’s music, we’ll be back.

My husband and I happened to run into this beautiful, local coffee shop while doing a beach clean up. We ended up chatting with the owners and they have the most heartwarming mission. The drinks are delicious and they even have coffee ice cubes that don’t water down you coffee. The decor is very upscale and filled with handmade pottery – definitely check them out and support local!

First, this is a great little coffee shop. Nice and new and clean. I gave 5 stars because of this and the service. However, there is no WiFi which will keep me from returning until they get WiFi. A coffee shop, especially a local owned business can’t survive and thrive without WiFi it’s a basic requirement. Additionally they charged me a $1 more than what the price was listed for a 16 oz cold brew. I didn’t say anything because I’m happy to contribute to small businesses, but they should fix this because most people wouldn’t want to be overcharged. This place has great potential but they need to draw business as it was empty. With a few tweaks and some advertising they could survive and thrive.
