I stopped at Katie’s Specialty Coffee, Sweets and Treats (CST) on 31 Aug 2023 to get some road trip fuel in the system. I always enjoy trying new coffee shops and supporting those smaller businesses so it was fortunate to find this place during our travels back to Las Vegas. When my wife and I walked in, it wasn’t busy at all; I’m guessing because it was later in the afternoon and a lot of people in this city/town already had their liquid fuel for the day? The young lady working the register acknowledged our arrival and greeted us appropriately which is always appreciated.
We both ended up ordering the Fresh Drip Coffee (funny thing is I thought this was “French Drip Coffee” and that’s exactly how I ordered it). Although, I have never heard of a French Drip coffee, my mind was thinking that it said, “French Press Coffee.” Clearly my mind wasn’t all there from the long road trip. Regardless, I was amazed how smooth this coffee was – something you would normally get from a “French-pressed” coffee.
We didn’t eat anything from this place so unfortunately we can’t provide any feedback/comments on their food/treats. My family and I stopped in this town a couple times now and we were thoroughly impressed with the area. Even though this town doesn’t offer that big city feel like we’re used to, places like Katie’s Specialty CST definitely makes visitors feel welcomed (at least it did for me). And although I only interacted with one employee, she definitely set the customer service bar high for future employees to emulate.
If you’re driving on I-70, you should stop here for some liquid fuel and/or treats. If we ever decide to pass this area in the future, we are definitely stopping by again. The prices here are very reasonable and I very much appreciate this business supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and its Veterans! The facility is well kept and looks new/clean; highly recommend to everyone!

Stopped here on the way through Utah based on the reviews and wanting to support a local business instead of Starbucks up the street. Did not have a good experience. No one working there but I found someone in the neighboring restaurant . I think they were short staffed- but had to wait while the employee was managing things next door. Ordered a chai- did not taste good let alone like Chai tea. My husband said his coffee was not good either… weak and bitter.. pricey and not worth it

Located in the south east side of Steve’s. This is definitely a hidden gem! I tried the S’more and raspberry moscopne cake with a butterscotch toffee coffee and a raspberry smoothie. Everything was delicious! An added bonus for me was that I could park my semi at the adjacent Philips 66 gas station.

We bought specialty coffees and carrot cake at Katie’s from a lovely shop assistant. I can honestly say it was the best carrot cake I have ever tasted. Moist, fresh and delicious. Coffees were excellent too.

Discovered Katie’s while on a road trip. Will definitely be back. I had the cinnamon roll and my boyfriend had a breakfast sandwich. Both were fantastic. Their dirty Chai latte is fantastic too!

Tried the 24oz dark mocha!
Honestly was a bit skeptical since I watched the powder get added on top of the ice which made it gritty lol
It was really good and flavorful and the grits were kinda ok but I’d definitely prefer it without them

We ordered two hot vanilla lattes, we were in a hurry, the girl at the counter made them awfully quick. We rushed out of there noticing that our cups were cold. The coffee was cold. It looked like she made the espresso and then just poured cold milk without steaming it first lol… so we got room temperature slightly cold coffee served in a hot coffee cup. We were in a total time crunch and literally didn’t have 5 seconds to go back. Just odd

Stopped in for a quick coffee and cinnamon roll. Wow. Fresh baked and super tasty. Right next door is a steak house we ate the night before. What a great combo. Plenty of other baked goods to choose from. I’m sure they are all great.

We were traveling through and stopped in for a quick pick-me-up. We grabbed a coffee and a soda with raspberry and coconut and both were fantastic! The flavors were spot on, and everything was super refreshing.
