Personnel and or owners are really nice and a wide variety of home made refrigerated food that can be taken home and eaten cold or warmed up at home and can make a nice lunch dinner and or dessert at home. We had the meatballs, chicken salad, chocolate, lemon, strawberry and vanilla cakes with butter cream icing and original cheesecake. This is our go-to for birthday cakes and cupcakes!

Excellent variety, helpful staff. Great place to have lunch, but the market side is a real gift if you are busy or in a hurry and need to take something to someone. The sweet potato ham biscuits are as good (maybe better) than my grandmother made. The take & go includes things for supper like chicken pie and lasagne (in feast, family, and personal size) but also party food like a cheese ball. I think Kathy’s is worth what you pay for it.

Ordered some desserts for Easter only a couple of hours before closing, and staff had everything packed and ready to go. I was a little worried when I saw the plastic wrap and was told they did that to keep it fresh longer since we were eating it on Saturday and not that day. I was wondering if it was not that fresh already, WHY? Silly me, I’ve never had anything but fresh desserts from here before. Of course, when we opened everything up on Saturday, it was fresh and so delicious as usual! Kathy’s never disappoints, whether it’s desserts or a take-home meal or a quick chicken salad to go, it’s nice to have a home-cooked alternative to go to, other than a fried chicken place or the usual pizza order.

Absolutely LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I always get the mini quiches for easy breakfasts. The coconut creme pie is my absolute favorite. The chicken salad is phenomenal. Everything I get I like usually! Highly recommend.

I was able to grab 3 pies right before Thanksgiving. Also got some sweet potato biscuits with ham. Super yummy! Really friendly staff. This place has been a staple of Elizabeth City for over 25 years. Definitely worth a stop. Great dine in menu!

Salads are good, the grilled chicken is really good and has a touch of BBQ char for flavor. The lemon orzo spinach salad is outstanding!! Friendly staff. They do get slammed at lunch time but you can call in your order.

I love everytime I go there. The food is always nicely prepared. Servers very personable and friendly. The meal has always hit the spot, very satisfying. Take home meals and desserts are awesome. Reasonably priced and made to order without mistakes. God has blessed this place with good food and great people!!!

Phenomenally fresh and exquisite quality! A smidge higher in prices and a bit conservative— mainly with the thin size of cake slices, but no need to stay away. One of the freshest and tastiest markets anywhere.
