Doing a road trip and this came up as a great burger and since I’m always looking for the best burger had to stop.
Upon arriving it’s definitely a bar but it’s a clean bar with a sports bar atmosphere. Not extremely busy but was disappointed they didn’t have any football games on the tv. Grab a stool or a booth its seat yourself and the hostess was friendly and attentive because the next table by me they spilled and she came over with a towel without being asked.

I got the cowboy burger which is a good burger and cooked right just a bit of pink 1/3 pound and fresh beef hand made. Needs seasoning!!! Just a little would add soooo much.
Opted for onion rings over fries and they were your typical store bought kind with little flavor.
Restroom was clean as well

Found this place while on a weekend adventure, it has five star rating and I can totally see why. We had the cheese curds and each had a burger, everything was very good. You can hear when they start grilling and frying something as the cook top is right behind the bar. Small space but fun! The staff cracks jokes and really enjoys the customer base, it’s obvious they enjoy what they are doing! If you haven’t been this is one of those hidden gems in a small town! Don’t sleep on this spot.

Best place for burgers not only in Holton but any where in the area. Used to stop at another location when traveling through the area but stopped here last time instead due to a decline quality at other location. Fresh burgers were fantastic and prices were very reasonable. I will be stopping whenever I am in the area, I would make the drive, even if traveling through Topeka, for the burgers.

The owner and staff are caring and friendly. The prices are reasonable, the food is AMAZING.
Especially recommend the pepper jack cheese curds and any of the burgers. The fries are hand cut and you can see everything cooked behind the bar.
A favorite for sure.

The toasted buns and hand cut fries were really freaking good! I ordered a pepper jack bacon cheeseburger with the fries and the whole meal was amazing! Will definitely be going back!

I’m a gentleman in the street and freak when I eat…any of the burgers on this menu. Especially their Cowboy burger! Flavorful hand cut fries like you’ve never had anywhere else. Zero chance you’ll be disappointed.
