We had such a wonderful experience at Kasumi the other night! Our server, Jamica, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and gave us amazing recommendations—every single one was a hit. The food was extremely fresh and so enjoyable to eat. Jamica brought such great energy to our table all night and truly made the experience even better.

We highly recommend the Tuna Otoro nigiri—it was absolutely to die for. We will definitely be returning to Kasumi very soon!

An okay restaurant with an okay view, okay food and okay service. The decor was nice. The outdoor seating was nice until they blocked off the section in front of our water view for a private event. I suggest eating at Kasumi if you are staying in the hotel because there is no where else nearby to eat except the pool bar. The food was overpriced. The drinks were way overpriced. The waiter, Jeff, was very pushy about collecting the check before we left the table. Jeff was nice but as much as we over paid for the champagne, the least he could have done was fill up our glasses. The $18 desert was skimpy.

We enjoyed this place, the food was good except for the tuna tartar which lacked flavor and had an overly fishy taste, though the other sushi rolls we ordered were fresh and enjoyable.
What was most concerning, however, was discovering an unauthorized overcharge on our credit card the next day. We tried multiple times to contact the restaurant to resolve the issue, but no one answered or returned our calls.

Let me start with the positive. My server was phenomenal. In fact, every single person who worked here that I interacted with was great! The atmosphere was very nice and it was wonderful to look out and see the water. Also, once the food was fixed, it was very delicious!
So here’s the thing. I’m vegan and was really excited when I saw there were things on the menu I could eat. I saw the big V by the shishito peppers and it is completely on me that I did not read the other ingredients and Google what they are. When it came out, I noticed something on top that I thought was possibly cheese. I thought I made a mistake and the person said it wasn’t cheese but I wasn’t familiar with what they said it was. It was fish. So it’s not even vegetarian. My amazing server made note of this and said they would bring it to the restaurant’s attention, and they remade it for me without any fish and it was delicious. But it is disappointing they have something marked as vegetarian or vegan that isn’t either.
Then, my phenomenal server Blake asked the kitchen if the avocado and cucumber roll were vegan for me. They insured him that they were. However, the avocado roll came out with some mayonnaise on it. Again, they remade it for me and it was very nice. But I hate to waste food and a kitchen should be informed about allergies and dietary restrictions. Dairy makes me very ill and if I had consumed any of the roll they told my server was vegan, I would have been very sick.
I don’t blame my server at all. He really was great at his job!
And with modifications, it’s nice that this location has some vegan options.
But the menu should not improperly label food and the kitchen should know the difference between vegetarian and vegan.

Chef Takashi has outdone himself with his new restaurant! We came to visit my friends for the weekend and just had to stop by when we found out this spot was open!

We loved the recommendations from our server, Patrick, for the Hamachi crudo and Black miso cod! The manager, Jill, was so welcoming. I will say the best part was ordering the Kinoko mochi and brussel sprouts because it was a beautiful reminder of Takashi’s menu at “Slurping Turtle” in Chicago. The yuzu cheesecake was the perfect closing to the meal as well.

Such a beautiful location, ambiance, and overall experience!

Truly an incredible place. From the waterfront views and thoughtful culinary creations, I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s hard to find a restaurant in the area that offers both good views and amazing food, and Kasumi checks both boxes. The amount of thought and detail that went into each plate, cocktail and interior design element truly shows. I came for Happy Hour (offered Tuesday-Friday, 5-7pm) and was blown away by the full-sized dishes and large variety of options to choose from. We came super hungry and tried almost everything on the menu because it looked so good, which worked out since everything was very shareable. The nigiri was phenomenal and literally melted in my mouth paired with the best house-made spicy mayo I’ve ever tasted; my only regret is not asking for a gallon of it to take home. The Grilled s
Shishito Peppers (dunked in the spicy mayo too of course) and Wagyu Beef Gyozas made the perfect appetizers and the Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Short Rib Fried Rice and Chicken Kushi Katsu stole the show – I think those were the best renditions of these dishes I’ve ever had all for a Happy Hour price. Don’t miss the cocktails as well, which are also discounted; the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and Nashi Mule were expertly crafted, all made with fresh house made syrups and with unique twists. Although not part of Happy Hour, we treated ourselves to most delicious chocolate mousse and ganache dessert that I’m still drooling over. I will be definitely be back.

What a delightful dining experience from start to finish. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent making for a memorable evening.

Our server Jennifer helped us with recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is upscale, but comfortable. This is the difference between going out for dinner and enjoying renowned chefs’ preparation of carefully thought out and excellently-prepared delicious items.

Had a great meal for end of a whirlwind of two days of vacay and filming—- server was a little too efficient with constant clean up which made for a “rushed” feeling throughout the meal- and we were there about 8pm- not sure what time they close- but we ordered several
Hundred dollars of plates- and were enjoying the meal (savoring each bite) and laughing and immersed in dynamic conversations—

Food was incredible. Everything was served with impeccable presentation and the most unique flavors-

Highly recommend if you love tartare and sushi!

This place is fantastic, we came in for my wife’s birthday, it was actually our first time trying sushi and our server Mike was great, he really guided us through the menu, and we took his recommendations and everything was delicious. Still on the fence on raw sushi, but he said the hamachi crudo was a good one to start with. It was mild, and the sauce was great. Especially loved the fried rice. Great service, great environment. Oh and the manager Jill was so sweet. She really took the time to come make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.
