We came in for the Sunday four-course special, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. You start with your choice of a classic ginger salad or seaweed salad, followed by either a spring roll or shrimp shumai, then a sushi roll (with about ten options), and finally, one of four ramen choices.
I had the Tonkatsu ramen—excellent as always. The pork was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My wife had the miso ramen, which was solid overall, but the beef short rib had more of a boiled texture and a slightly gamey, ground beef flavor that didn’t quite work for her.
The only minor issue was the timing of the ramen—our bowls came out about five minutes apart. While that wouldn’t normally be a big deal, the first three courses came quickly (within the first seven minutes), so we were ready for the ramen when it arrived. That short delay made the wait feel a little longer than expected.
That said, I want to be clear: any criticism I offer is simply meant to help a great place get even better. Honest feedback is hard to come by these days, and I’m sharing mine because I genuinely enjoy Kasai. The food, value, and overall experience are excellent, and I’ll absolutely keep coming back.

We got 9 rolls of differing variety and all were absolutely wonderful!! Excellent flavor and texture in the sushi and some of the most delicious unagi I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend

We have gone here for years and I feel like it’s gone downhill in food amount/quality for price. Here’s our $21 dollar take out steak hibachi. Very little veggies and a tiny box of noodles. They used to load up the veggies and rice/noodles. It’s just too expensive for what they’re giving you. Sushi is still good.

I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars. I’ve been coming here for 6+ years and food is always incredible. Service can be slow but they’re small and always packed. Best food hands down.

One of the best ramen I’ve had in Ohio. The broth is so flavourful and the noodles are cooked perfectly. I do like my ramen noodles soft so if you prefer firmer noodles that might throw you off. Excellent service as well and great restaurant atmosphere.

We came here for a friend’s birthday. We made reservations, which I would recommend for a weekend evening as this is a popular place. This is some of the best sushi you can get in the area. All of the food was excellent and it was fun to try a sake flight. The menu offers a variety of authentic sushi and Japanese dishes. My group likes sushi, but there are pleanty of offerings here for vegetarians, those who do not like sushi or sea food, or those who prefer fully cooked offerings as well as those with adventurous sushi appetites. The atmosphere is cool and cozy here. I can’t wait to go back!

Have stopped here numerous times and always happy and full after my visit! Dark and intimate when you walk in to the dining room, which I personally think is perfect for gatherings when you want privacy. As far as food goes, AMAZING. Have tried majority of their sushi and always comes out so quick and, most importantly, FRESH. Every time I have visited, their staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your visit. Also a shoutout to Thomas for being so amazing and personable 🙂

I loooove this place. I got the hibachi steak and chicken dinner. Some hot sake and some gyoza and it was crispy! Dumped the yum yum and jalapeño sauce into the hibachi and it was soooo goood. Definitely a new favorite of mine. And the service is wonderful. So glad a place like this is in canton. Only got photos of food after the fact because I couldn’t stop.
