Service was good, miso soup good spicy edamame was good. We went as a group and the soups were not that great and chicken was burnt . The price of the food wasn’t worth what we eat and very small portions. The waiter was awesome though and his service was good.

Great playlist, great ramen – karaage shown, ahi not shown, and great atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. Nice twizzly carrots

I have been coming to this place for nearly 10 years now. Its hands down my favorite sushi place in Sacramento. My family moved to amador county a few years back, but this place is still my favorite sushi place to go. So much so, that I still regularly make the hour and a half drive just to get my fix. The fact that this place has anything less than a 5 star rating is absolutely bonkers to me. Their sushi is the size of a friggin burrito. And the prices are beyond fair. The service is always top notch. I love this place. If you hate it, I probably hate you.

It’s good! I had the spicy chashu ramen and liked the flavor of the broth and enjoyed how perfectly cooked the soft boiled egg was. However, I thought the chashu itself was a bit underseasoned and not as soft as other chashus I’ve had. I also feel like the spinach is a little unusual to add and didnt really fit in with the other flavors. Overall a good bowl, but not mindblowing.

I have been to Kansai a few times with friends and it’s always been on point! Parking can be a bit challenging. It’s not a big restaurant and can get busy but we have never had an issue getting a table.

Our server was very friendly and checked on our table frequently. Our table ordered the fried calamari, edamame, gyoza, and raw oysters for starters. The calamari was great and the dipping sauce was excellent! The raw oysters were fresh! We ordered some sashimi and rolls as well. The sashimi was excellent, very fresh fish! We all enjoyed our rolls which were the Kansai, Spicy Vargas, and 65th. My son ordered the bone marrow ramen which he really enjoyed.
Kansai is a great little sushi and ramen spot!

I went back to Kansai and I’m pretty disappointed this time. I ordered 5 rolls. 3 of which I’ve had before but 2 of the rolls looked different from before. They either messed up or they skimped out and put less ingredients on the rolls. The rolls are pretty expensive so it’s unacceptable for them to purposely put less. Imagine ordering a double cheeseburger and getting only one patty. That’s what it feels like.

Really good sushi! Long wait though. Phoned in a to go order at 1102 am when they opened. Said it would be 30 to 40 mins. Parking lot is very, very tiny. Picked up the sushi at 1140 am. Presentation is great! Bought five rolls: Kansai, Spicy D, Bob, Ninja and King Kong. All delicious! Definitely come here if you like sushi. Didn’t try any ramen though. Will definitely be back for more sushi!

Yummy! Had the vegetarian tempura appetizer, the Bob roll and the unfiltered Nigori Sake. Delicious. They do a pretty steady dinner service. A lot of to go orders but seating for dine in was no problem.
I’ll be back.

We loved this visit. The food was amazing. Jimmy, our server was attentive, funny, quick and personable, they way a server should be only he is a super star. Food came out quickly. Libations are what you should expect from this place. It was my son’s birthday so Jimmy gave him and his sister a super ice cream macaroon treat. The house ramens are delicious. Shrimp tempura are large and scrumptious. You have to try the pork belly appetizer. The beer on tap is cold and glasses are chilled perfectly. Definitely check this place out, a new favorite for us. We will definitely be back.

Don’t get the seafood ramen. They barely give you any seafood. I asked for the egg to be fully cooked, but they still gave me soft boil egg. I told them I am pregnant and needed all the food to be fully cooked. The broth container was filled only half way. I asked for extra noodles which is an extra $3. The only tasty part of the ramen was the chili oil. Never coming back here again!
