I tried this new Thai spot last night with a friend, and unfortunately, despite the rave reviews, it fell below expectations.

Starting with the food: as a Northeast transplant, I’ve quickly learned that in South Florida, reviews alone aren’t always a reliable indicator of quality. The red curry was runny and lacked depth of flavor, especially when compared to a nearby Thai restaurant I’ve visited recently. The tom yum was more tom “meh” than tom yum, the broth just didn’t deliver the punch or complexity you’d expect. The Chiang Mai noodle dish was also lackluster overall.

For context, I’m inevitably comparing this to the Thai place in Pompano that doesn’t take reservations, and consistently delivers.

Service was fine. Nothing to complain about. The staff checked in on us a few times, and everyone was friendly and pleasant. That said, the Pompano spot feels more authentic, the staff there bows, which adds a thoughtful, cultural touch.

Atmosphere-wise, no complaints. Comfortable and enjoyable.

Pricing, however, is where things really start to feel off. The soups and curries are about twice the price of what Larb charges, and in my opinion, the quality doesn’t justify the premium.

I’ve had excellent Thai food outside of Thailand, in San Francisco, Toronto, NYC, and right here nearby in Pompano. Flavor-wise, this place just misses the mark for me.

This was an absolute great find. We were on our way to a different Thai location, however since they were such a long wait, we decided to venture out and find a different spot. Kans kitchen was near by so we went to check it out. When we arrived, there were still plenty of parking and many tables available however, as a time passed, tables got full pretty quickly and they also had a few tables reserved. This restaurant had very authentic vibes with some updated decoration.

For starters we had the moo ping (pork skewers) and the pork dumplings. Both were very flavorful and arrived quickly.

For main I had the crispy duck with basil sauce and came with white rice. The duck was indeed crispy, flavorful and juicy. The basil sauce I had it mild and it was super flavorful and not too spicy.

The pineapple fried rice had shrimp and chicken and was also very good.

Now we couldn’t leave without trying the sticky mango rice for dessert which was really delicious as well.

I would definitely recommend

I love GOOD Thai food and I always order Pad Thai. Kan’s Thai Kitchen had EXCELLENT Pad Thai and Pad See Ew.

The chef must have a high BTU and a narrowly focused flame because the wok hei was real and so real that the food stayed hot for so long. We ordered MILD for both and just as the server said, mild has some heat and it was so good.

Good vibe. Good service (the chef brought the dish to our table). Excellent food. We were so happy leaving there. The next time we are in the area (or even passing by), we are there. I wish we had Thai food like this in Tallahassee.

Excellent Thai cuisine – featuring northern Thai specialties like Khao Soi (with chicken leg, roasted duck or chicken breast). The entire menu including desserts (including sliced mango with coconut cream and sticky rice) is authentically prepared providing a depth and richness of flavors. The service is friendly – everyone smiles! So far we have been able to walk in with parties between 4 and 5 without a reservation but understandably it does seem to fill up after 7 pm. The atmosphere is comfortable and offers a range of seating options. Parking is free and convenient, as the establishment shares a small strip center with a Sub-way and Dunkin on either side. Our new go-to Thai establishment in Fort Lauderdale! Highly recommend.

Went for lunch first time there got take away ordered three things. Food was perfect. Edamame could used a little more salt , crab Rangoon was spot on. A pineapple fried rice With chicken. Only took about 10 minutes. I was very satisfied in the moment. I walked in being greeted at the door being able to order quick and easy at the counter, the cleanliness of the place. Everything was absolutely delicious. We came for lunch and wanted to try the Khao Soi. It was super flavorful and kept getting better every bite. We ordered mild and it still had a nice spice to it!

We also ordered the Satay appetizer and it went so well with the peanut sauce.

Service was friendly and fast!

Overall had a great experience and would recommend!!!

This was the best tasting Thai food I have ever had. I ordered Massaman Curry. We enjoyed our meal and it was not too loud for conversation.

5/5 experience. Stellar service and atmosphere. We got here at 11:30 and had the most lovely experience. The servers were kind and we had the spring rolls, papaya salad, pana g grouper, and pad Thai with chicken and tofu. All of these things fresh with hints of basil, the correct amount of heat and freshness. The hit was the fried banana cheesecake roll. Will be back. Definitely the culinary highlight of our trip so far.

9/5/25-We stopped into this cute little place that has free parking. We were greeted when we walked in. We were then taken into a table with menus, and then he brought a sour water as well. They have a nice lunch menu. I had the wonton soup which was very good. Had bean sprouts in it. I like that and then I had the steam shu Mei .
G had the pad Thai. It looked as a nice size.
We were checked on a few times wound up who greeted us and served us was the owner and his wife is in the kitchen and she was out delivering dishes too. Its nice to see a small family business doing well

Discovered this Thai restaurant on our way to the Hard Rock…. Saw the high reviews so decided to check it out (vs waiting over an hour at Lan Larb down the street). Family operated, the food was very tasty… Although the pad krapow dish was a little lacking compared with other contemporary Thai places…. Only basil and minced chicken; was expecting a little more color…. Diced red and green bell peppers, some fresh chopped, white onion. Prices very fair, and service was quick and courteous. The vibe here is a bit more serene is not as frenetic as Lan Larb…. Would recommend.
