We came here for lunch recently and we liked that we could create our own box. We tried their fried fish and fried shrimp. Both had good flavor and decent crunch. We also had a side of sweet heat garlic wings. The wings were well seasoned and crispy but it didn’t really taste like sweet heat garlic.
As for the sides: the fried rice was good and we liked that there were decent sized shrimps in there but the portion of rice was quite small; the collard greens were pretty bland but cooked well in terms of texture; the mac and cheese was warm and cheesy so no complaints, the beans and rice was regular but there was hardly any rice in there; the cornbread was good. Overall, I think this is a good spot for an occasional take out lunch. I would definitely come back and try some of the other entrees and maybe load up on the shrimp fried rice.

These folks are firing on all cylinders!! The atmosphere is exactly what I’ve come to expect from those that serve the best soul food and po-boys…it’s a deli…eat it there quickly and make room or take it with you. The lunch rush was handled well given that a lot of orders are made to order. I waited and ate there and every component was delicious. Kane style shrimp po-boy, 5 tendies (og), rice n beans, greens…all of it made perfectly no need for sauces or dips (although I did get honey mustard before I knew I didn’t need it).

You ever walk into a place and think, “Okay… this might be where my soul leaves my body,” and then one plate later you’re planning your last meal here? Yeah. That’s this spot.
From the outside, it looks like the kind of little hole-in-the-wall that either serves life-changing comfort food or lottery tickets. Turns out it’s the first one.
They’re open Monday through Friday 11 to 7, because greatness needs rest on weekends. Daily specials on the hot bar and a full menu if you need to feel like you made a decision today.
Let’s talk about the baked chicken over rice. Fall-off-the-bone? No. It slides off like it’s trying to escape because it knows you’re about to destroy it. The yams? Your grandma made those. Don’t argue. I don’t know who’s in the kitchen, but somebody’s granny is back there putting blessings and probably a little gossip in every pot.
And the mac and cheese? Creamy enough to make you question every mac and cheese you’ve ever had in your entire life. You will buy extra. Trust me.
It’s affordable, the food tastes like a hug, and the people working there are so sweet they could legally count as a dessert.
If you want real home-cooked soul-healing food, stop reading this review and go. Just leave your house. Gas up the car if you need to. Go now.

Met the owner of Kane’s Deli during quarantine and could not wait to eat here once they were able to open. What I immediately noticed, even though they were about to close for the evening, the staff was really nice to everyone. The food was Hot and Fresh!!! We had the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice, Kane Style shrimp poboy, and sweet heat garlic wings. All of it tasted delicious!!! The menu offers quite a variety of options and the food is cooked and prepared by the owner himself. Kane’s Deli exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back.

Great price. Food was on point full of flavor. Got the baked chicken with red beans and rice. Had to wait in line for a bit but well worth it.

First time here, won’t be the last. They weren’t very busy which was awesome. I got the roast beef po boy and fries. Great value for the price. I strongly recommend lots of napkins because it’s messy, which makes it perfect. The meat to vegetable ratio was perfect! The fries were cooked perfectly as well. The staff were friendly. Definitely will be back!

I went here and ordered 45$ worth of food for and one of my plates I ordered was fried wings with bbq sauce, went there got the food get home and the wings are baked with bbq or I call them leave a message I get a call back from a lady telling me how they don’t bake their wings and since the bbq wings aren’t on the menu and they did me a favor by making them that I basically got to deal with what I got. She was very rude and didn’t care at all about the fact I can bring her all 10 wings back. No customer service, no trying to figure it out. I spent 45$ for the family and that was my meal now I got to go get me something else to eat. Me nor any of my family will ever be back. And it’s my birthday. ♂️

Only downside is the thumping from the disco-like fitness joint next door. Food is fantastic, never had anything that wasn’t great. Get there early if you want the chicken special, it’s that popular.
