Wow, most expensive and worst food I’ve had yet being on the island. My “Philly cheese steak” tasted and looked like ground beef with cheddar cheese on overly buttered toast without seasoning. At least it was served with incredibly cheap french fries in a cardboard to-go box. Yes we where seated for dinner.

The drinks came in plastic cups and where made with cheap mixers and light on the alcohol. Overall this was a big disappointment and would not recommend wasting your time and money.

Recommendations to the owners. Time to be big boys, buy plates, silverware, glasses and get a real kitchen with proper ingredients. Then you can come close to charging what you did. You truly should be ashamed of how and what you served.

Unfortunately, my experience at the bar was disappointing due to the bartender’s lack of attentiveness. I stood at the bar waiting while he organized straws and spoke to another couple about personal matters. When I finally approached to ask whether the Super Bowl would be shown on the TVs, his response felt dismissive and sarcastic (“Is that the football thing? Yeah, most likely… the Olympics are happening though!”). I didn’t feel welcomed.

I got the blackened Mahi street tacos off the menu. Tacos come with papaya salsa that was really good. Fish wasn’t dry or undercooked or over-seasoned. I’m personally really picky about tortilla chips so I was disappointed they were overcooked. For a poolside cafe it wasn’t bad, nothing fancy. Food can be served at one of their tables near the bar, or you can have it served by your lounge chair area next to the pool. Oh, there is also a bar, but I do not drink alcohol so I can’t give my input about that. I have family here, so we’ve been to this place many times. Honestly, who can really complain about much when they’re visiting Maui?

Food was from a food truck and was just okay. The bartender who was acting as table server was impatient with our kids and walked away from us in the middle of our drink order and sent another (much nicer) server to take care of us. Its a good lunch spot while hanging around the pool, and the live music was nice, I wouldn’t recommend it for dinner until the main restaurant is back open

Happy hour drinks were delicious, strong and reasonably priced, for Maui. Service was slow (as usual on this island). Had to get up and get the server twice. Great ambience…live music poolside. Just know that you can not get into the pool unless you’re staying at Maui Coast Hotel.
