We discovered this place by coincidence, walking through the boardwalk, and it looked nice from outside so we decided to give it a try.

We’re happy to do it, as the place didn’t disappoint.

Great atmosphere, looking fresh and open space. Excellent music as well.

The food was delicious and decent portions.

The prices are fair and the service was excellent.

Definitely a hidden gem. I recommend it.

If you’re the type of person who needs to be visually overstimulated by a menu before you even take a seat, Kalypso Beach is your spiritual home. The menu is so appetizing you’ll find yourself genuinely intrigued by the prospect of ordering one of everything—which is a dangerous game when you’re technically still in a hotel. That said, the location is elite, offering a view and a breeze so pleasant you almost forget you’re effectively dining in a high-end lobby.

We kicked things off with the zucchini croquettes, which were perfectly fine, though they were immediately overshadowed by the tuna tartare. On the flip side, the calamari was a bit of a “participation trophy” effort, and the saganaki was crying out for a drizzle of honey to save it from its own saltiness. The beverage program, however, knows what it’s doing. The espresso martinis aren’t the usual sugar bombs, thanks to a hit of miso caramel that actually makes them interesting, and the spritzes are exactly the kind of breezy, effortless drink you want when you’re staring at the water.

For the mains, the falafel salad and chicken skewers were legitimate hits. Then there was the Margherita pizza—it was sizable and objectively good, though it arrived with a “non-traditional” cheese that seemed to be having an identity crisis. And of course, there was the smash burger. It was decent, but honestly, if we could collectively decide as a society to move past the smash burger trend and return to actual thick patties, I think we’d all be better for it.

Within the MB hotel in Miami sits Kalypso. A small but very relaxing g restaurant located next to the pool that is adjacent to the ocean.
The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated. Seating is wonderful and could easily accommodate a large family. There were no large print menus and I would say that this place is easily accessible to those walking with a cane but otherwise using a wheelchair may be difficult to navigate around tables.
Food was “chefs’s kiss”-from their short ribs to their Falafel salad. Prices are not that bad either! Highly recommend!

Kalypso Beach Restaurant in Miami Beach is located inside the MB Hotel and is one of those places where you feel you are part of a larger journey to enjoy the sophisticated yet relaxed simplicity of all the Greek flavors on offer. From the moment we were greeted by Kenny , our server – and as we walked in, I had to make it a point to inhale to take the air, locale and energy all in. We were seated in a part of the restaurant where we could observe everyone, and I can safely say that the food exemplified the Greek traditions, evident in all people connecting together, and our family solidifying our bonds as we enjoyed the food together. Get to Kalypso early enough to be part of the first sitting as tables fill up fast, and the restaurant closes early. The icing on the cake was Achilles, the restaurant manager – he walked up to us and shared dessert like it was a story waiting to be written. A must have gem on your visit to Miami closer to the north side, if you so wish to try!

Could sit here for hours and just stare at the beautiful pool and chill in the atmosphere. One of the best places we have eaten on our holiday! Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. There was no rush, food was served at a good pace and we just felt so relaxed. We actually went for lunch and it was so good we went back for dinner!

Passed by this place for a walk in the boardwalk. Decided to stop in with my hot date. Atmosphere made me feel like I was in Greece. Music was upbeat but subtle and very romantic. There was a light breeze that came through and made you feel like you were on an island in the Aegean sea. Dim lighting set the mood. We shared everything. We had the calamari, the saganaki and the branzino which was grilled to perfection. Even the spinach was great! Definitely will come again. Highly recommend this place. Service was excellent. Drinks were awesome as well!

This is an absolute gem in a part of Miami Beach that otherwise doesn’t have a lot of great restaurants. We’ve been here twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. At lunch, especially it is amazing, very chill with beautiful views of the pool and ocean.

When we had a miscommunication about part of our order, the owner Achilles was on top of things. It’s so refreshing to know that the ownership takes pride in every aspect of their service and food.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area.
