This is a small cozy bar on Gera Road just outside of the main drag of Frankenmuth. They redesigned the menu not long ago and are featuring their smash burgers. I am not a *massive fan* of those as I prefer a thick hamburger patty cooked medium rare, but I know they are a popular cuisine these days.
The rest of the menu is fairly standard pub grub. Our table had a smash burgers, wings, and chicken tenders. Everything tasted good. And we enjoyed live rock / blues music by Cruz Control, who sounded great

Gera Bar is an absolute vibe! The smash burgers are next-level— crispy-edged perfection that alone is worth the visit. Add in live bands bringing great energy, pool tables for some friendly competition, and you’ve got the perfect hangout spot. The waitstaff is amazingly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Laid-back, fun atmosphere with great food and good times all around.

I love this place. My boyfriend and I take a trip to Frankenmuth every year and stumbled across this place last year and had a great experience. Came back today and it’s still just as great! Awesome service, good food, solid drink selection, clean, everyone in here is in a great mood, and this time there was live music! We will come back every year for sure. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a great spot off the main Frankenmuth strip!

Decent place if you are thirsty and need a bite. Tried the Friday fish dinner soecial and it was disappointing, 3 small pieces, way overbreaded and overcooked. Fries were good. Others that had burgers were happy.

My wife and I went to lunch today at gera tavern. Our waitress Amanda was great She was friendly and helpful. We both had the smash burgers and they were delicious. I highly recommend gera tavern.

Smash burgers? Smashing. Truffle fries? Terrific. Wings? Wonderful. Tots? Tantalizing. Could have done without the polka jam band going on, but I won’t dock my review for that as it wasn’t excessively loud nonsense. Will definitely be back at a calmer time.

I’ve been here several times for lunch. It’s always amazing except my first time our service was ssslllllloooowwwwwww. Every time after its been really prompt. Staff is very friendly and the food is great, especially the smash burgers. Ill continue to come back.
