In the mood for Asia, we took a trip down Woodmere Blvd on Sunday to see if anyone restaurants were open. So ecstatic that this was. Always love the appetizers. Our food came out still sizzling. Ordered the spicy pork and it was full of flavor. Not as spicy as I would like but very good. The hubby had the Teriyaki Chicken, which came out sizzling as well and he mad a “happy” plate . Definitely will be back to try the other item on the menu.

It is always a treat to eat at Kalim. The service here is so attentive. During our last visit, Hee was our waitress and she made our dining experience delightful.
We ordered the jumbo donkatsu, kimchi jjigae with pork, seafood pancake and a small bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). Everything was so tasty, especially the banchan – we had to get a second round of those. The donkatsu came with two large pieces of pork (bigger than my hands!) – the batter was nicely seasoned, the meat was tender and crispy. The kimchi stew was so flavorful with a mild kick, paired with some rice was a chef’s kiss. The pancake had a nice consistency – just the right amount of bite and crispiness. The cold noodles were so refreshing – nice blend of heat from the gochujang, savory from the cold broth, and freshness from the radish and cucumber. Already craving another visit while I’m writing this.
The seating here is within an enclosure so it gives guest a sense of privacy while dining. Loved the food, the service was so friendly and thoughtful, and atmosphere was cozy. This place is perfect for dates and group dinners!

Friendly server and prompt service. However, she couldn’t speak or understand English at all. So, she couldn’t explain if the food was crispy fried, stir fried, or otherwise. We ordered the marinated duck with vegetables and there was very little duck with lots of vegetables! We would definitely prefer LA Galbi next time.

I have no negative thoughts about this place. Staff is super friendly. Food is always super good. I have been here more than 5 times, & each meal is worth it. Their apple salad which comes in a spread is amazingly tasty.
